At Wrestlemania, Bianca Belair was able to overcome Sasha Banks to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship. After this, Banks went away for a hiatus but now is back and ready to show she is The Boss once again. She played Belair for a fool before stabbing her in the back, setting up a heated confrontation for Summerslam. Their last match is considered to be one of the greatest Wrestlemania main events of all time, so expectations are high for this one.
Sasha Banks Isn’t Here, But Becky Lynch Sure Is!
Belair would hit the ring first to a massive ovation, looking comfortable in front of her biggest crowd yet. However, Sasha Banks was unable to compete, which was announced. The crowd would be chanting for Becky Lynch… only to instead get Carmella. Belair has been beating Carmella for weeks now, but maybe she’ll get a big burst from the Summerslam crowd, which didn’t want to see anything to do with her.
Belair would grab the microphone, and say that Banks will just get beat another night, with her taking out her frustrations. However, before the bell could ring, Becky Lynch’s music would hit, and the crowd went wild. This was who they wanted to see, and they got their wish! The Man is back in town, and looks ready to go. She’d take Carmella out, before making her intentions crystal clear. The EST & The Man are gonna blow the roof off his building in a title match!
For the first time since Wrestlemania in 2020, Lynch was back and ready to go. A hand was extended only to yank Belair into a Manhandle Slam for the win! Just like that, Lynch is back in the game and back on top. This was an electric moment, and a sign that Belair still is far from the star that she thinks she is.
