Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer on good terms with the Royal family, but if that were to change, it would take quite some time.
Royal Expert Believes Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Reconciliation With The Royals Will Be ‘Incredibly Difficult’
That is according to Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti. This is no surprise when we look at the manner in which the couple have acted since their exit from the Royal family.
Not only did they have a controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, now that has died down, they are also looking to release some books detailing the ins and outs of it all. This act of revealing things to the media has prevented any reconciliation attempts.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Jonathan said: “I think it must be incredibly difficult to try and have those conversations because [of]…what Megan and Harry are going to reveal to the press or … in Prince Harry’s own book.”
If that is the only thing preventing a reconciliation, then it is clear that both sides are not going to back down. Meghan and Harry need the publicity to some extent, as it keeps them relevant as well as aiding their financial independence from the Royal family.
In addition, if they believe so strongly in the accusations they have made, then they are not going to back down and be branded as liars. This has left everything in a state of deadlock.
Jonathan added: “I think that there’s perhaps a nervousness on the part of the royal family to say too much and to make too great in efforts to reconcile, even though I’m sure that they’d want to.”
If that is the case, then it is probably wise that the Royals leave Harry and Meghan to continue doing their own thing. At some point, there will come a time when their exit will no longer need to be explained.
Coming to terms with that is always going to be difficult. Sources have confirmed as much: “Charles and the queen had very different plans for how to respond.”
