Sydney Morton Opens Up On Preparing To Play Meghan Markle In A Movie
The premise of the film is that we will see what occurred following the arrival of Meghan’s son Archie and how the dynamics played out in the Royal family.
It will also touch upon the moment when Meghan and Prince Harry decided to take a step back from their Royal duties. The latter half of the movie will show the couple’s new life when they decided to move overseas and relocate to Canada.
But it does not stop there. A sneak preview of the trailer shows that we will see a re-enactment of the pair’s interview with Oprah Winfrey on CBS that is bound to get the fans in a frenzy.
With so much to cover, Sydney had to make sure that she was fully prepared. And she made sure that she left no stone unturned in her preparations. During an interview on Entertainment Tonight, Sydney revealed how she rewatched footage of Meghan to pin down the character.
She said: “I had, like, 30 voice memos that I’d recorded from interviews and scenes of Meghan’s from her show [Suits]. And I would just listen to them on repeat. I’m a musician, I’m a singer, so it was almost like learning a song.”
Meghan may not have been a huge hit on the TV screen, but there was still enough available for Sydney to get her teeth into. And this included even the moments where Meghan tripped up during her time on screen.
That allowed Sydney to get an insight into the real woman behind the cameras. She added: “Even bloopers because there’s so little footage of Harry and Meghan being relaxed and not knowing there’s attention on them.
“So I wanted to find moments where she’s laughing or being herself or cracking a joke.” The film is set to come out on September 6th on Lifetime. With so much anticipation brewing for its release, this movie is not one to miss.
