In the latest Media Scrum before the next PPV All Out, Tony Khan went into detail about many different exciting subjects. One of them being how he views the Buy-In show as a big deal, and that is why the Casino Royale was originally planned to be on there.
He also went into detail about how Kenny Omega is an excellent influence on the women’s roster. Tony also mentions the TNT belt saying that it’s definitely not seen as the mid-card belt in the company. The biggest surprise, though, was the tease of some new championship belts arriving in the near future.
What Tony Khan said about new belt
In the media scrum, Tony Khan went into detail about whether we will see more belts in AEW. In the past, we have seen some teases of new belts. One of them being the trio tag belts.
The surprise is that Tony Khan mentions that the company has changed away from trio champions but still says that more belts are on the cards in the future. So it does seem like more belts are going to come to AEW in the future. However, there is no saying what belts we will see in the future.
What belt could we see and when?
There are a couple of belts Tony Khan could be thinking about adding to AEW. One of them is the highly teased triple tag belts. There are some other belts that may be added instead. There was some mention of a new belt that focuses more on Rampage in the past.
The TNT belt is kind of a TV belt and mentions a deal with TBS so we could see another TV-style belt. We could also get another women’s belt in the future. The women’s roster has been a problem in AEW for a while, but there is no doubt that it’s improving. We could see two main titles for the women’s roster, like how we see within the men’s roster.
