Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have offered Queen Elizabeth II the chance to attend the christening of their daughter Lilibet much to the shock of everyone.

If these reports are to be true, then it has left the Royal family in a difficult position. Harry and Meghan have attacked their integrity ever since they conducted their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
This has been followed by a book deal which promises to reveal more hidden truths about the Royal family. And yet, this could be seen as an olive branch towards the monarchy to finally put an end to their disputes.
But the Royals have not been impressed. A source remarked: “Harry and Meghan have made this offer but a lot of people are shocked by the sheer nerve of it.
“They may genuinely want to see the Queen but it’s breathtaking given what they’ve put her through this year.” The main reason why there is such apprehension has been the fact that there has been no public apology or admission on either party to finally address their troubles.
Not only that, but Harry and Meghan have not attended various Royal functions since they left. That has left the Royal family wondering what they should do. The source added: “Her Majesty’s staff have not responded so far.
“In fact there has also been discussion about Christmas — and whether an invitation should be sent to Harry and Meghan, after they spurned one last year.”
The Queen clearly has a love for her grandchildren. After all, she does have eight grandchildren to her name. And excluding any of them is not going to be something that she will want to do.
She has had enough heartbreak to deal with following the recent passing of her husband Prince Philip. The source continued: “[The Queen is stil] fond [of her grandkids].”
Regardless of what the Queen decides to do, any decision that she takes will have dramatic ramifications. But on balance, this could be the opportunity that everyone has been waiting for to finally put their problems behind them.
