A few weeks back, Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne would take a loss to Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter. Afterwards, they’d align with Mandy Rose who would take them under their wings. She’d take a dropkick to the face from Sarray, not a great way to start teaching them how to be winners. Tonight, they get a chance to avenge their loss to Catanzaro & Jayne. We also are set to see a whole new Mandy Rose, who might be darker than before.
Kyle O’Reilly Beat Down, Mandy Rose Crashes The Match
Dolin & Jayne would hit the ring without Rose at their side, but she gave a pep talk before she sent them to the ring. Carter started fast and took Jayne off the apron before taking Dolin down. Catanzaro ran a save, before tagging in and getting a two count on Dolin. She’d apply the Octopus Stretch, as we got a look backstage where Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland beat Kyle O’Reilly down.
She’d be able to break free, but everything broke down as Mandy Rose hit the ring. Rose had brown hair now, and that was about it for changes. Sarray would come to the aid of Catanzaro & Carter, and a six woman tag team match has been deftly set up. Rose has something up her sleeve with Dolin & Jayne, and NXT 2.0 could have an issue on their hands.
Six Woman Tag Team Action
Back from the break, we had this six woman tag and Sarray nailed a missile dropkick on Dolin. Dolin took another running dropkick in the corner, before Team Ninja hit their signature high speed offense. Catanzaro would get caught mouthing off, and Dolin would be able to take control.
Rose tagged in and would power Catanzaro into the corner with some shoulder thrusts before a one armed scoop slam for a two count. Catanzaro was trapped in a body scissors, but could push back into a pinfall. Rose would maintain control, before Jayne tagged in and hit a running senton. Carter would get a tag and rush the ring, hitting a running dropkick on Rose.
A kick under the jaw in the middle of the ring got a two count on Rose, before things broke down. Sarray would confront Rose, and would get hit with a facebuster. Carter hit a kick on Rose while she was focused on Sarray and got a two count. Rose nailed a running knee strike, and got the win.
A fast paced six woman tag team match, which showed the landscape of NXT 2.0’s Women’s division perfectly. Rose showed some new aggression, Sarray looked great, and Team Ninja should be tag champions. Match Rating: 3.25/5 (*** 1/4)
