At the moment, it feels possible that we could see any wrestler released at any time, after the 50 releases that have happened through WWE over the past year. Some of them were massive stars like The Fiend, Alister Black, Braun Strowman and many more, making it likely that literally anyone in NXT could be released especially knowing that Vince McMahon is more involved with the show.
However, it seems like one of them is safe at the moment. Pete Dunne, who is known as a Triple H guy, has reportedly signed a new deal with WWE. Fightful reports that Pete Dunne has signed a long term deal with WWE.
Is WWE The Best Fit For Pete Dunne?
Pete Dunne may not be the mould of what WWE and Vince wanted, but there is no doubt that Pete Dunne feels like a WWE guy. It’s very possible that if he was booked right, he could become champion in either Raw or Smackdown. However, there is still a slight worry that he may be buried in the new style of NXT.
Pete Dunne becoming a champion in NXT and then invading Raw or Smackdown would work very well. Not in the same way Karrion Kross did but more in a way Kevin Owens did in the past. There is still a lot that Pete Dunne can do in WWE, but there is still a dream match he wants in another company.
Pete Dunne Dream match isn’t a WWE match
There is a dream match that Pete Dunne has mentioned recently is that he wants a match against AEW Bryan Danielson. At the moment he said this, many people speculated that he will be going to AEW. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case, and if they are ever going to that match in the future, it will most likely be at least three years in the waiting.
