Kate Middleton recently met up with British female tennis sensation Emma Raducanu following the latter’s historic US Open win.

The 18-year-old walked away with the title against all the odds, given that she had to qualify for the tournament. And in order to show just how much the nation was proud of Emma, Kate and her had a friendly game of tennis before talking about the whole experience.
In the pictures here, we can see Kate and Emma smiling as they are on court playing together on the same team in a game of doubles. So how did Kate do? Well, according to Emma, she certainly has a lot of talent.
Kate is known for being a huge fan of tennis, and it seems that she has taken a lot of time to perfect her game too. In an interview with Yahoo! Sports UK, Emma revealed how much talent Kate has at her disposal.
She said: “Her forehand was incredible. I was very impressed. It was a lot of fun to play tennis with the duchess…I was very impressed by Kate’s level.
“She obviously loves it and has played a lot before, but it was good fun to be on court with her.”
Despite the good time that the duo had, this was part of a bigger vision. Emma’s victory means that the younger generation of British tennis players have someone to look up to.
And Kate is hoping that by lending her support, she can encourage other people to follow their dreams and become successful, just as Emma has done. In an official statement given by the Royal family, it revealed just how much Kate loves tennis.
The statement said: “Her Royal Highness is passionate about supporting grassroots tennis and encouraging young people from all backgrounds to become involved in the sport.”
It is wonderful to see Kate supporting Emma, and this can only be a good thing for the future of the sport. With sport having suffered so much during the pandemic, Emma’s success goes on to show that there are still plenty of chances for people to make history.
