Princess Beatrice is known for many things, but one thing that often goes under the radar is her love of doing marathons.
Princess Beatrice Will Not Be Running The London Marathon-What About Kate Middleton?
Beatrice, for her part, is the only member of the Royal family to have officially completed one. In 2010, Beatrice completed a marathon in order to raise money for Sarah Ferguson’s charity entitled ‘Children in Crisis.’
In doing so, Beatrice ran a record time to make history. In the picture here, we can see that Beatrice is enjoying her time. She is dressed in a human caterpillar and giving it her all.
Although she loves running, this time around, she will not be taking part in the London Marathon. And the reasons for it are very simple. She just recently welcomed the arrival of her daughter with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli.
Naturally, that has raised the question: will there be any other members of the Royal family that will follow suit? The only other name that would be under consideration is Kate Middleton.
The former is known for her love of sport, given that she has shown an enthusiasm for tennis and many charitable initiatives. While that may be the case, Kate is unlikely to take part.
That is according to journalist Bryony Gordon. When speaking about what Kate had told him about doing a marathon, he said: “I was like, ‘Are you going to run the marathon?
“And she was like, ‘Oh, I can’t because security is a bit difficult.’ But I was like, ‘Sure, yeah, yeah, good excuse. If I can do it, anyone can.”
Nevertheless, Kate has made her presence known at the London Marathon in previous years. In 2017, she attended in order to offer her support for a mental health charity called ‘Heads Together.’
She may not have run the marathon, but she was there to offer her support to the other members that were representing the charity.
Regardless of what the Royals decide to do, as long as they are making a difference in some way, then who are we to complain about it.
But as for doing a marathon, it may take some persuading for the Royals to participate in one. Time will tell whether that does happen.
