Meghan Markle simply did not get on with members of the Royal family before she decided to part ways in 2020.
Royal Expert Claims That Meghan Markle Found The Royal Family ‘Unfriendly And Jealous’
That is according to Royal expert Andrew Morton. Meghan decided that she had enough of the monarchy, as her and Prince Harry left in order to relocate to America.
And when that was done, she did not hold back on her disdain for the Royal family, as shown in her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. But looking back, this was inevitable as Meghan felt a sense of jealousy from some members of the Royals.
In his book entitled ‘Meghan: A Hollywood Princess’, Andrew said: “It was clear that Meghan had ruffled feathers in the family and that they felt she and Harry were very difficult to deal with.
“For her part, Meghan found some of its members – not the Queen or Prince Philip – unfriendly and jealous.” The primary reason for the jealousy was because of the manner in which the public quickly took to Meghan.
And because she was from an American background, there was a feeling that Meghan had come out of nowhere and taken over in a significant way. After all, before she had met Harry, Meghan was not a household name. She was an actress who hardly set the world alight.
As such, when her departure came, many were happy to see her go. Andrew added: “At a personal level, then, their departure from Britain was quietly welcomed by some in the Windsor family and their courtiers.
“But on an institutional level, it was a heavy blow.” And yet, it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. Meghan has managed to forge a life of independence and have a career that will allow her to live a life of independence.
These things would not have been possible otherwise. Andrew’s following comments confirmed as much: “Her own endeavours, particularly the Grenfell cookbook and the capsule collection she had overseen for Smart Works…could take place outside the royal world.”
