WWE Raw Preview is looking forward to tonight and round one of the King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournaments, and we have a couple of championship buildup matches as well.
We’re continuing the build to Extreme Rules with some of the champions taking the ring in what should be a couple of entertaining matches.
Big E faces Drew McIntyre
This will be a fin clash of bulls as two of the best in the company face off to give us a taste of what to expect at Extreme Rules.
Unfortunately, we doubt this will have a clean ending as the WWE will want both to look strong for their match, so there’s going to be a run in or some other interference to end it in No Contest.
If it’s not the Hurt Business, it’ll be Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez and after they’re chased from the ring we’ll get a tag match.
Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair try to coexist against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair
There’s no love lost between Banks and Belair since Belair defeated the Boss at WrestleMania, but they’re going to have to try to get along tonight in this primer for Extreme Rules.
With the brand separation apparently suspended until after Extreme Rules and the draft results take effect, Lynch and Flair will have to find a way to work together as well.
Belair will have to deal with her worry about Banks attacking her from behind again (something we expect that to happen tonight because why not?), so it’ll be interesting.
Lynch and Flair will have a battle of egos, and that’ll be a big enough of a distraction to cause them to lose or come close before Banks attacks Belair again.
We won’t be surprised if Banks attacks her, then leaves Belair in the ring for Lynch and Flair to take care of.
King of the Ring Round One
The KOTR continues with Raw’s first round tonight, and both New Day members will take part as Kofi Kingston faces Jinder Mahal and Ricochet will challenge Xavier Woods.
Both should be good matches, and we expect Kingston and Woods to win to set up a match between them next week.
Queen’s Crown Round One
This is looking like it could be among the best matches of the night if they’re allowed to wrestle for more than a few minutes as Raw kicks off it’s round one of the Queen’s Crown tournament.
Doudrop and Natalya face off, and Dana Brooke looks for payback on Shayna Baszler.
Doudrop will beat Natalya but it won’t be quite a squash, and Baszler will defeat Brooke unless she just wants to injure her.
Then Brooke could win by disqualification, but will she be able to continue when Baszler’s done with her?
Which match are you looking forward to seeing tonight? Let WWE Raw Preview know in the comments below.
