Kate Middleton has continued to give back to the community with the news that she has helped to launch a new organisation that will attempt to help people overcome addiction.

The organisation by the name of ‘The Forward Trust‘ will launch its new initiative called ‘Taking Action on Addiction.’ This will attempt to focus on the root causes of addiction from childhood and how best to put measures in place in order to prevent people from becoming addicted in the first place.
This move is also seen as part of the wider ‘Addiction Awareness Week’ that has started this month. In an official statement, Kate said: “No one chooses to become an addict. But it can happen to any one of us.
“It is all too rarely discussed as a serious mental health condition, and seldom do we take the time to uncover and fully understand its fundamental root causes.”
The primary reason why Kate has lent her support to this has been due to the pandemic. As Covid 19 has caused so much devastation to people around the world, the consequences will be left for many generations to come.
That is why she wants to ensure that help is at hand. She added: “As a society, we need to start from a position of compassion and empathy.
“Where we nurture those around us, understand their journey, and what has come before them.” Having said that, some people did question Kate over her standards.
They felt that it was hard for her to relate to such a cause, given that she does not have to worry about things that often addicts worry about. After all, she is not exactly short of money, nor is she going to be struggling with meeting her living costs.
But by talking about it, she is hoping that it can remove the stigma that is associated with mental health. Regardless of what you think about Kate, this issue is very important.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “By recognising what lies beneath addiction, we can help remove the taboo and shame that sadly surrounds it.”
