Thomas Markle has continued to blast his daughter, Meghan Markle, for abandoning and disowning her family in the aftermath of her marriage to Prince Harry.
Thomas Markle Calls Meghan Markle ‘Childish’ Amid Claims She Has Disowned Her Family
Thomas, for his part, has made no secret over his desire to reconnect with his daughter. The primary reason why he wants to do this is because of his desire to see his grandchildren.
Meghan, though, is reportedly not interested in rekindling any form of relationship. She has blamed her father in the past over speaking to the press in the run-up to her Royal wedding.
But rather than back-down, Thomas is hell-bent on getting through to Meghan. During an interview on Good Morning Britain, Thomas said: “I’ve made it quite clear that until I hear from her until she does speak to me, that I will continue to do [interviews].
“[She has] pretty much disowned both sides of her family.” Despite Thomas’ willingness to reach out, it is important to note that Meghan has a lot on her plate. She has just recently welcomed her daughter, Lilibet, in June of this year.
Naturally, her primary focus is on her daughter. In addition, she recently announced her 40×40 campaign, where she is focusing on empowering women to get back into the workplace amidst the pandemic.
With so many things to juggle, Meghan will not want to upset the apple cart by engaging in a family drama that she would rather do without. And yet, Thomas has questioned her behaviour, knowing that she knows her father is not getting any younger.
He added: “This is way too childish. This is kind of silly. It’s time to talk with each other. We’re family. … This is more than just me and my daughter now.
“This is me and my daughter, her husband and two babies involved now, so it’s time to do something. It’s time to talk.”
Thomas and Meghan need to sort things out sooner rather than later. Meghan has already alienated the Royal family, and in order to avoid any further heartache, the best thing she can do for her children is to have a stable family unit.
