It’s Monday Night folks, and WWE Raw is fast approaching, about twenty minutes away by the time this article gets published! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the latest on what to expect for WWE Raw tonight. Rather than the usual singular article previews with quick dives into the announced matches and angles, these blurbs here are designed to give you a deeper insight into what to expect, as well as the background behind it.
With that in play, we’ve already looked at Charlotte Flair’s bout with Asuka, and Humberto Carrillo’s attempt at AJ Styles’ WWE United States Championship. But what we have here is not a match, but an angle – one in a lengthy series of them.
Ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, Rusev was handed another restraining order.

Yes, just like last week, Lana has filed another restraining order keeping Rusev away from her and Bobby Lashley, this one for the state of Illinois of course.
This theoretically means that he won’t be allowed in the building at all, and thus we might not be seeing Rusev at all. It did work out last week. She filed a similar temporary restraining order for the state of Massachusetts that kept him from appearing on Raw in the first place.
Of course, going by usual WWE storylines, he’s only going to put up with this for so long before he violates it. No doubt, Lana and Lashley will be trying to bait him into doing just that with another public display of affection and mockery.
While it’s not being advertised much yet, a match between Bobby Lashley and Rusev is currently scheduled to finally be taking place at Starrcade on December 1st. Tonight’s edition of WWE Raw is technically the go-home show for that event, though how significant it will be is still to be seen. In the past, these have been very small scale, minor shows.
