Recently, Keith Lee started to clear the air about his time in WWE. He was released from WWE, and seemingly had no reason to not keep quiet about issues regarding his health. Lee had claimed that WWE did not help pay for his medical bills in a recent statement – and now WWE has released their own statement stating the contrary.
Keith Lee Was Part Of WWE’s Extensive Healthcare Program
“Several months ago, it was not a guarantee I would make it to this day, so there is positivity in that. I paid all my medical bills from the many offices and machines I frequented. There is positivity in that. And, I do find it amusing that people believe anyone but me paid for my medical expenses.”
Now WWE is claiming that Keith Lee was enrolled in their medical plan, having released the following statement.
“Keith Lee’s recent comments implying WWE failed to pay his medical bills are erroneous. WWE has an extensive healthcare program for the medical care of its in-ring performers and Mr. Lee was part of this program while with the company. Should Mr. Lee have any concerns over the payment of medical bills, he is welcome to address them with WWE.”
WWE Is Known For Their Medical Help In Cases Of Injury And Illness
By the sounds of it, this is a situation that could only ramp up in the coming weeks. It’s fairly well known that WWE helps their performers in the face of injuries and sickness, which made the original report of Lee getting no aid from them so odd. Names like Tegan Nox, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor have all had notable injuries in WWE, which were paid for by WWE.
For Lee to be left out makes little sense. However there is not enough information to trust either side of the situation, and we can expect for more information to come. Who do you think is telling the truth, Keith Lee or WWE? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
