Should AEW Bring Keith Lee & Shane Taylor Back Together As The Pretty Boy Killers?

Could AEW Bring Keith Lee & Shane Taylor Back Together As The Pretty Boy Killers?

Right now, there’s a lot of talent who can be called free agents in professional wrestling. Between Ring of Honor letting all their contracted talent go as they seek to restructure their business model, and WWE releasing 18 more names, you could build an entire company from the free agents on offer. However, there is also a chance to reunite a tag team that Ring of Honor let go – with both men now on a whole other level. Could it be time for Keith Lee & Shane Taylor to take the world by storm again?

Pretty Boy Killers Reunion Would See Keith Lee & Shane Taylor In Their Best Forms As An Unstoppable Duo

From 2015 to 2018, Shane Taylor & Keith Lee were a daunting tag team known as the Pretty Boy Killers. Their size was unmatched, and the sheer athletic ability of Keith Lee alone was enough to book them for shows. Ring of Honor was the biggest company to being them in, with only Shane Taylor sticking around as Keith Lee would head onto WWE.

While apart, Shane Taylor would have a dominant run as ROH TV Champion, challenge for the ROH World Championship, and start up the faction Shane Taylor Promotions. Keith Lee meanwhile became the NXT North American & NXT Champions at the same time, and would have one major win on the WWE main roster, crushing Randy Orton in around 5 minutes on PPV.

Singles Potential For Both Men, But Offering More Flexible Options

It’s clear both men have truly found themselves in the industry – and now if they joined forces again, they could be unstoppable. This could even be the way to insert them into a company like AEW, as they would provide a great matchup against the AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Lucha Bros. Add in that Lee could be shot to a main event singles spot as soon as one opens? And you have a more adaptable way to bring Lee in.

This isn’t to discount the value Taylor brings either. He has proven himself as a capable worker in the ring, and has always been the better talker between himself and Keith Lee. However, the confidence and skill of Lee makes him an easy top star, while Taylor has not yet shown the spark.

Right now, AEW has the best tag team division in the world. They treat it as a main event level division, unlike WWE who breaks up and forms random teams weekly. AEW dedicates themselves to making tag team wrestling cool again, and two powerhouses like Taylor & Lee crushing smaller teams while moving as fast as them? That’d be pretty damn cool.

Do you think that AEW could use another dominant tag team in their ranks? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
