Meghan Markle has been accused of changing her personality during her recent appearance on the ‘Ellen Degeneres Show.’
Royal Expert Claims Meghan Markle’s Ellen Appearance Was ‘Needed To Reboot Her Image’
That is according to Royal expert Emily Andrews. Meghan’s appearance got many people talking, given that she revealed parts of her life that would not otherwise have been known by the public.
This included conversations on her earlier acting days, where Meghan outlined how she did not have a functioning car when she turned up to auditions.
While this could have been seen as an attempt to appear more relatable with the public, given that it shows Meghan experienced so-called normal problems, not everyone has viewed it in that way.
Emily felt that her appearance was a PR move designed to make Meghan come across more down to earth. During an interview on ‘Good Morning Britain,’ Emily said: “I think she has needed to reboot her image a little bit.
“Some Americans, I’ve been told by friends out there, felt her politicising – cold calling senators about paid family leave.”
On reflection, it is fair to say that Meghan is trying to find herself. After all, she has only been living outside of the Royal’s control for around a year since she left in 2020.
And given that she is American, there was an understandable culture shock when she entered the Royal family. And as a way to rebrand herself, Meghan is focusing on the person that she was prior to her involvement in the Royal hysteria.
Emily added: “Maybe Meghan struggled slightly over here because she’s very American, where celebrity and achievement is celebrated.
“Whereas in the UK, we slightly have this tall poppy syndrome – you don’t want to get too big for your boots.” As part of that process, Meghan got involved in the show’s game where she had gone out to go shopping on behalf of Ellen.
And by the looks of it, this went down well with the audience at home. One person on Twitter wrote: “I’m dying,” whilst another stated: “Meghan doing these pranks are hilarious.”
