When it comes to releases from WWE, there are a few ways to react to the news. Some thank the company for the time and experience – while others are quick to expose all the bad of the company. You also see some just keep their heads down and get prepared for the next chapter of their career. Out of the recent releases, Taya Valkyrie was one who responded with a lot of anger and aggression, as she was given a lot of false hope for her run. However, her husband John Morrison is singing a different tune.
John Morrison Was Glad To Reconnect With Old Friends
With this being his second release from WWE, Morrison knew how to process this. When he was released the first time, he got right to work on the indies, and rose to the top of companies like Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling. This will likely be his future, going back to being a top name in smaller companies. Mainly, Morrison was just happy to catch up with old friends, as he’d reveal in a post release statement.
“I saw and spoke to people that I hadn’t seen in 10 years, got the chance to reconnect with old friends and make new friends work with some of the best production people in the business, some of the best professional wrestlers in the business. I mean, just the whole thing was nostalgic. It brought me back to how I felt when I was brand new to the business.”

A Run Of Missed Chances
Morrison’s second run with WWE brought another tag team championship reign with The Miz, and a shockingly great match with Grammy award winning rapper Bad Bunny at Wrestlemania. Fans felt the whole time that WWE could do more with him, as he could easily be booked as a main event talent.
Whenever he was given a chance, he would shine. He was a nostalgic name for many fans as well, and his theme song alone would get amazing reactions. Despite all this, the run was fine, and Morrsion will likely claim some belts very soon after his 90 days is up.
