Supporters of Meghan Markle have hit back at those claiming that The Duchess of Sussex staged some pictures during a Christmas shopping trip in Montecito.
British Royal Family News: Fans Defend Meghan Markle Following Claims She Staged Her Christmas Shopping Photos
This accusation was on the grounds that Meghan Markle was trying to improve her public image following the recent criticism she had received from a subset of people over her appearance on the ‘Ellen Degeneres show.’
And given that Christmas is a festivity celebrated by millions of people around the world, some people felt that there was no better opportunity for Meghan to get a great photo opportunity.
In the picture here, we can see that Meghan is wearing a beanie hat and some sunglasses. In addition, The Duchess of Sussex can be seen wearing a mask over her mouth as she carries some shopping bags.
Despite her attempts to blend in, other said that these photos were staged. In a post on social media, one person wrote: “Meghan was so triggered by an article saying she was staying at home over the Ellen backlash.
“She staged a paparazzi shoot of her shopping and trying to look busy with two phones that were switched off.” Naturally, that did not go down well with Meghan’s fans.
They came out in droves in order to show their support for Meghan, especially since she has allegedly been trying to stay in her own lane and distance herself from the Royal Family.
And as part of that, they wanted to highlight concerns over the nature of the media which Meghan has constantly criticised in invading her privacy.
As a result, the very fact that Meghan was doing some private shopping was not to be of anybody’s concern. One supporter wrote: “Meghan looks absolutely gorgeous!
“And being papped from time to time is expected, it’s the illegal and intrusive actions of the media and paparazzi I have an issue with.”
Meghan Markle was simply making sure that her shopping was done, but in the course of it, she has drawn further attention to the nature of the media. Going forward, it is clear that The Duchess of Sussex will have to be more cautious when going out in public if she wants to stay out of the press.
