It appears that there is a reason that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson tend to do group dates—and yes, it stems back to Kanye West. According to a source speaking with Page Six, it’s all out of consideration for the Chicago artist’s feelings.
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson Keeping Kanye in Consideration
The source said that the group dates are meant to “spare Kanye’s feelings” and that Kim Kardashian “doesn’t want to do what her sister does with Travis”. This is in reference to the almost daily photos of the two being lovey-dovey in public. According to the source:
Kim Kardashian “Wants to Keep Kanye From Being Hurt and Devastated” Via Group Dates with Pete Davidson
“[Kim] thinks hanging out in a group makes it seem more casual. She wants to keep Kanye from being hurt and devastated.”
This explains the nature of so many Kim and Pete photos where the high-quality ones are usually with other couples or in a casual setting and the more candid ones tend to be few but really garner buzz.
It’s known that Kanye West deals with bipolar disorder which has manifested itself in paranoia as well as various rants, outbursts, and disruptions throughout his long career. This has also resulted in damaged friendships and collaborations as well as trouble in his personal—but public—life.
In simplest terms, the two made adjustments to how their budding romance plays out to keep Kim’s ex from having a meltdown. It’s a kind gesture from both and somewhat overaccommodating.
Who knows, perhaps it will finally click that Kim Kardashian has moved on with Pete Davidson, those around her are mostly positive towards him and find the guy charming, she’s taken legal steps, and they’re managing their relationship in the public eye all in consideration or the Grammy magnet.
Then again, things could very well continue on the path of “I can win her back.”
