A lawsuit involving the Duggar clan’s Jessa, Jill, Jinger, and Joy-Anna is still simmering. The suit comes as a result of a leaked police report that Josh Duggar molested children in the family house. However, it was put on the back burner for obvious reasons.

Things go back to 2015 when a police report was made public and detailed the situations of abuse by Josh Duggar towards underaged girls a few years earlier. The report hinged on family patriarch Jim Bob Duggar telling police that Josh had groped girls while they were sleeping.

This is the same incident involving the state trooper/family associate who was later imprisoned for his own child pornography charges. How much Jim Bob knew about ex-trooper Joseph T. Hutchins’ hobby and the coincidence that he was the chosen confident for this isn’t the focus—it’s the released report.
Sometime later, sisters Jill and Jessa discussed the assaults with Megyn Kelly. They would later sue the City of Springdale in the spring of 2017 as well as the police department because of invasion of privacy and other complaints which they claimed resulted in mental anguish and emotional distress.
Fast forward to now and Jinger, as well as Joy-Anna, have joined the suit. A family associate said that the conviction of Josh Duggar could influence things regarding the Duggar sisters’ case. Their case was supposed to happen the week of the eldest Duggar brother’s case but ended up being booted back. The reasons have never been specified but Josh’s trial was most likely the main reason.
Furthermore, the family source said that awarded damages could be impacted as well:
“If there is a trial, the damages could be cut as a consequence of Josh’s conviction.”
