It’s been a while since AEW fans have seen Jon Moxley on TV. Midway through the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament, Jon Moxley would step away from TV. With a newborn baby at home, it was finally time for Moxley to take on one of his biggest battles to date. Moxley entered an inpatient alcohol treatment program, allowing Miro to step in to take on Orange Cassidy. However, now Moxley is back – and ahead of WLRD On GCW this Sunday, and he’s back to AEW, making his TBS debut in the process.
Jon Moxley Is Finally Ready To Return
After more than three months away, Jon Moxley is entering a whole new AEW. There is a new AEW World Heavyweight Champion in Hangman Page, Bryan Danielson has reached the main event, and Cody Rhodes is without an AEW contract. However, the moment Wild Thing hits and Moxley rips through the crowd, things will be the same as always. We’ve never seen someone come into AEW who can match the aggression of Jon Moxley, no one who can take his spot.
It’s unclear where Moxley will fit into the mix right now with AEW. It’s possible that he will go after Cody Rhodes, looking to gain the TNT Championship. He could also look to jump right back into the main event scene, with a match with Bryan Danielson or Adam Cole possible to name a new #1 contender coming up soon. Moxley was never removed from the tournament, and has a valid claim as being two matches away from a chance to regain gold.
One Of The Biggest Episodes Of AEW In Recent Memory
With Jon Moxley making his return, a big episode of AEW Dynamite just got even bigger. The matches on tomorrows episode include CM Punk vs. Shawn Spears, Sting & Darby Allin vs. The Acclaimed, and the in-ring debut of Brody King in a tag team match with Malakai Black against Varsity Blonds.
Cody Rhodes is set to show up as well, setting up a unification match between his TNT Championship in the Interim Championship held by Sammy Guevara. Adam Cole & Britt Baker will team up for the first time in mixed tag team action as well.
