Bob Saget left a wide ranging career many of us never imagined, including stepping in the ring to go toe to toe with a young Jon Moxley. Well, toe to toe may be a bit overdramatic considering the real events, but it was an entertaining moment.
For many of us, we remember him as Danny Tanner on “Full House” and later “Fuller House”, or Ted Mosby on “How I Met Your Mother.”
Bob Saget Faced Down Jon Moxley
But his greatest achievement for many of us that grew up in the 80s was his roles as the host, writer, and creative genius behind “America’s Funniest Home Videos” starting in the 1980s.

Stand up with Moxley
As a standup comedian, Saget’s career took him to many places, and one of those was to what looks like a Dragon Gate event when he entered the ring and his comedy act rubbed Moxley the wrong way.
In what’s been a standard move to add some humor and a change of pace to wrestling that began with Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler, he gave us a fun few seconds.
When he was approached by an irate Moxley, Saget delivered a good one when he told Moxley, “My eyes are up here.”
When Moxley asked if he knew what being choked was, others intervened and a match/brawl broke out. Knowing discretion was the better part of valor, Saget slipped out of the ring saying he left something in his car.
It’s only a 22 second video, but it displays his timing perfectly as he backed down while using his wit and jokes to further infuriate Moxley and give the fans a little extra.
Different but true
While this was a different setting than many of us are used to, his career took him all over the place, with a great beginning in Critical Condition with Richard Pryor.
He played a young doctor that, like everyone else, was put into a difficult situation and he assisted Pryor, who was pretending to be a doctor, with a couple of patients.
The scope of his career gave us tons of laughs and he’s going to be missed. We hope fans share more bits like the one above. It’s great for his legacy and for his fans to enjoy the scope of things he was involved in.
Laughter is a great medicine and Saget gave it to us, and Moxley is part of his legacy.
