Prince Harry is set to join forces with none other than tennis legend Serena Williams.
Prince Harry Will Team Up With Serena Williams To Tackle Mental Health
Serena, for her part, has a good relationship with Harry and Meghan Markle given that she is on very good terms with the latter. Serena has spoken of her admiration for Meghan in response to her role in encouraging female empowerment.
And now it seems that Harry will team up with Serena as part of an event designed to tackle the issue of mental health.
Reports indicate that the event will be organised by the company ‘BetterUp,’ which Harry has started to work with recently and the event will take place next month.
Alexi Robichaux, who happens to be the CEO of BetterUp, had this to say: “Breakthroughs happen when you take a break.
“Learn how Inner Work builds Mental Fitness with BetterUp CEO @Arobichaux, Chief Impact Officer Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, and world-renowned athlete @serenawilliams.”
Harry has been a long-time advocate for mental health, ever since his mother Princess Diana had died in a car crash in Paris. He has spoken openly on how he struggled to come to terms with that, given that it had happened at such a young age.
And the response to this on social media has been generally positive. A significant majority of people welcomed this venture, as it demonstrated that the couple were looking to give back to the community.
At a time where the pandemic has disrupted people’s lives on both an economic, as well as a health basis, their efforts were greatly appreciated.
One person wrote: “I am so excited for this #PrinceHarry and #SerenaWilliams,” while another person stated: “My two faves at the same event, can’t wait. Love @serenawilliams.”
The anticipation for this event has been brewing, and it cannot come soon enough. If Harry and Meghan manage to pull it off without a hitch, then it only goes on to improve their public image.
And that is something that they could very much do with in light of the negative media scrutiny that has accompanied them ever since they left the Royal family in 2020.
