Dustin and Matt get P-N-P up in the Tombstone Position – Nick with a missile dropkick/senton combo as they drive them down?! Jesus what a finish!

    Winners: The Elite

What utter madness, incredible. Always forget how great the result is whenever the Bucks get a real chance to go in a six-man tag.

    Rey Fenix vs. Trent

Fenix shoots Trent off on a headlock, standing dropkick. Charges, Trent with the boot up, goes up top, Fenix with a palm strike, going for a Spinning Muscle Buster! Trent escapes, Fenix wants a Destroyer but nearly gets caught in the Dudebuster! Fenix sunset flips out of this for 2, roundhouse kick ducked! Applause. Trent wants a test of strength but Fenix cheap shots with a body shot. Trent chops him away, takes him to the corner but Rey escapes, wants a Tiger Feint Kick but it’s avoided, Trent up top but Fenix clips him and sends him headfirst onto the second rope! Running kick, cover for 2! Commercial break but the match continues in the inset.

Standing dropkick, cover for 2. Fenix grabs the wristlock, springs up to the top rope for his big spot… but then he just hops down, denying it to the audience! Fenix chops Trent into the ropes, some wicked knife edge shots! Trent with body shots, but Fenix chops him, then goes for the super lucha arm drag again but Trent dumps him to the floor! Trent hits the ropes… Fenix with a cutter outta nowhere! Springing Spin Kick in the corner! And nowww Spinning Muscle Buster! That is that.

    Winner: Rey Fenix

Really good stuff as anyone would expect.

During commercial, in the inset, Trent jumps Fenix from behind! Cassidy and Chuck have to pull him off as Fenix is incensed. I missed the start of that, not sure if Trent actually started it or not, ref is making Fenix go to the back.

Backstage, Cody is walking with a stage hand, paper in hand.

We come back to see Cody Rhodes making his entrance. That scar is still really noticeable even now and will probably always look about like that. Tony Shiavone is in the ring to talk how great it was to see him back in the ring last week in spite of the attack from the Butcher, The Blade and the Bunny, knows there’s a lot on his mind. Cody says they call them cool, the hearts that have no scars to show. It reminds you of failures. Last week was the biggest failure because he’s been beaten down again by another unknown entity and when he reached up for help he found that everyone was busy. Recounts the attacks from the Butcher, The Blade, and MJF. Says that he knows all about the Butcher and the Blade, recounts seeing them in Beyond Wrestling and Bar Wrestling. Claims they could’ve just called him but he understands the pomp and circumstance of wrestling.

He will wrestle Butcher and Blade any time and they will get to pick his partner. For MJF, he’s claimed that he will never wrestle Cody Rhodes. Cody notes how people used to think MJF was too short, hood-rich with a fake scarf, and how he did the worst Cross-Rhodes in history last week. Calls him a cut-rate nWo Chris Jericho. Starts bargaining, asking what he needs to get that match. Offers his car, a watch Tony Khan gave him, the Louis Vuitton shoes from his feet… some people like cold hard cash right? Pop. Cody asks Justin to bring in the suitcase. They open it up and say it’s over $50,000 and to validate it, he slips a hundred out and has Justin give it to someone in the front row! it’s a little kid! Big chant of “Cody”. Cody says he still thinks MJF is the future but an education is the way to get there, and he can’t wait to educate him. Tells him to name his price, everyone is waiting! Let’s do this! Huge ovation and a big chant of “Cody” once more as he makes his leave!

Backstage, Alex Marvez speaks to Joey Janela. Janela says he wants to make a name for himself. He was one of the first people to sign for AEW and feels he’s been put on a backburner. Asks Moxley if he remembers this face and the hell they went through at Fyter Fest. Well this time it’s different, this time it actually counts. The lights are on. It seems like nobodies’ home and this time you’ll have to actually kill me! Moxley steps up to him. Just says “Kids…” and walks off.

Another Dark Order vignette. Someone at work is discontent and furious. We then see him brought at a sacrificial altar. Asked his motive for joining the Dark Order, he says revenge. He’s given a Creeper mask. The large man from the first two commercials is pulled forward. Asked if he is one with the Dark Order, and if he will disown his family. He says yes. Asked of his motive, he just wanted friends. Evil Uno whispers into Stu Grayson’s ear… he stomps him to the ground! The creepers paw at him.

Nyla Rose emerges. We see a video of her attacking Shanna backstage and putting her through a table.

    Nyla Rose vs. Leva Bates

Big boot. Knee to the gut, hooks her, stun gun suplex hangs her up. Nyla goes up top, flying knee to the side of the head takes her to the mat! Nyla pulls Leva up, wants the Beast Bomb, Peter Avalon rushes in and shushes her! Nyla grabs him by the finger! Leva tries to slam a book into her back! Nyla no-sells. Grabs Leva by the throat! Avalon off the top rope but he gets caught by the throat as well, double chokeslam! Beast Bomb to Leva follows and that’s all!

    Winner: Nyla Rose

Nyla makes the signal for the title, and pulls Leva up again, a second Beast Bomb! She wants a third but Shanna emerges on the top rope – crossbody takes her off her feet! Shanna lays in shots but Nyla shoves her away. Shanna dodges a clothesline though and gets a Superman Elbow Strike! Hits the ropes, tilt-a-whirl gets countered with a brutal powerslam! Commercial as Nyla looks under the ring in the inset. Pulls out a table! Sets it up in the middle of the ring! Nyla teases a Beast Bomb through the table on Shanna as the official tries to convince her to stop… Nyla shoves Shanna away, Beast Bombs the ref through the table instead! And then she bombs Shanna on top of him, as from the front row, Britt Baker looks on in the exact same worried pose she had at TakeOver!

Chris Jericho makes his way out now! Jake Hager backs him up, bubbly is in hand! Jericho says Le Champion is in Champagne! Big pop. But he says it’s not like anyone from Champagne ever made a thing of themselves. Hager calmly holds up the Bubbly and Jericho takes it up. “Tony Khan” chant, this is where he came from! Jericho pretends he doesn’t know who he is. Jericho says he’s contractually obligated to have one more match in 2019. So on the last Dynamite of 2019, in Corpus Christi, he has to have one more match but he is being given the chance to name his opponent. So he put together a little list… Big Pop! He says please, get out of 2016! This is not the list. But it is the Lexicon of Le Champion! LLC! “Lexicon” chant. Jericho runs down a list of several names he will NOT wrestle, including Jon Moxley several times over, several jokes off people’s names, several knocks to the crowd, starts to say Marty – but out comes the Jurassic Express!

Marko Stunt gets in Jericho’s face! Hands the mic to Luchasaurus. Jericho says hold on, next on the list is dinosaurs and little children. Luchasaurus growls into the mic. Then says he has a masters degree in medieval history. Names some famous names in literature. Says it doesn’t surprise him that dinosaurs are on his list, they’ve been marginalized for 65 million years. And yeah, Marko is small for his age, but he’s more man than you’ll ever be! Jericho says Marko Stunt is small for any age. And if it’s not either of them… you can’t mean Jungleboy? Huge pop and chant of his name! Jericho asks if he thinks he has what it takes to face Le Champion? He hasn’t even won a match! What is he a mute? Everyone’s pulling for Jungleboy well he’s not, he thinks he’s a piece of shit. Jericho says he couldn’t last ten minutes with him. Jungleboy takes the mic from him! Finally speaks, calmly says he knows he could last ten minutes with him and he’ll kick his ass. Slaps him across the face! Jungleboy with a dropkick to Jericho! Hager ducks a roundhouse kick from Hager as they make their leave! Jericho throwing another tantrum on the outside! Jericho says he should wait to see what happens on December 18th!

As entrances come out for this next match, it’s announced that Nyla Rose has been suspended after her attack on an official!

    Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida

Tie-up, headscissor takedown for Shida, Statlander kips up out of it! Hikaru gets the crowd behind her. Lock-up, waistlock, Kris reverses, Hikaru with a wristlock counter. Kris cartwheels her way around her over and over. She gives Shida a minor poke on the forehead afterwards. Unique one. Hikaru takes Kris down, dropkick to the head! Commercial, match continues in the inset. Kris knocks Shida to the floor, goes for a moonsault off the apron but Shida kicks her out of the air! Brutal knee to the face! Shida takes up the chair now! Sits it up… dashes, springs off the chair for the knee but Kris catches her out of the air, drives her into the barrier! Kris takes her into the ring, cover for 2. Handstand Legdrop for 2! Kris pulls her up, Shida punches her way free, hooks her for a suplex. Kris blocks it but Shida with a kick.

Kris power whips her into the corner! Charging back elbow, charging facewash! Eternal Oklahoma Roll for 2! Kris goes up top but Shida clips her, takes her to the apron. Kris wants a suplex to the floor, ends up pulling her onto the apron. Kris gets her onto her shoulders for an electric chair! Shida escapes, enziguri takes Kris to the floor! Shida with a running knee strike off the apron! Shida throws Kris into the ring, goes up top, missile dropkick, cover for a nearfall! Shida hits the ropes, Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker from Kris, but Shida turns it into a Fujiwara Armbar! Kris taken to the apron, Shida with a Cesaro-Style Superplex into the ring, cover for a nearfall!

Shida charges, Statlander shoves down the big boot, pele kick! But Shida answers with an enziguri! Kris with a big lariato! Hoists her up into the Electric Chair, facebuster! Axe Kick! Nearfall! Body slam, counters into a victory roll for 2, Shida dashes for a PK for another nearfall! Hooks her but Kris escapes the suplex, wicked roundhouse kick! Hits the ropes, Shida with a high knee! Wants a suplex but Statlander turns it into a Falcon Arrow for a very close nearfall! Statlander with a Cradle Tombstone!!! And she just beat the No. 1 Contender!

    Winner: Kris Statlander

Wow! I thought for sure Shida was on her way to a title match but she just scored a huge upset, they obviously see a lot in her and for good reason, that was great!

But before she can even celebrate… Brandi and Kong make their way out! Brandi with a mic says people often loathe what they can’t understand but it scares them. People have been trying to explain what they’ve been doing and asking who the hell they think are. Well allow her to shed some light on this subject. Kong helps Brandi into the ring. Brandi says they make up the Nightmare Collective, an extension of the Nightmare Family, they do the jobs the others don’t want to do, no questions asked. Brandi says she has no issues with Kris but has perhaps an opportunity for her. They are part of a grander family and families aim to grow. She asks that she pledges herself to the Nightmare Collective. Crowd tells Kris no! She doesn’t respond… Kong gets in her face!

A fan at ringside now is demanding for a chance to pledge…? She’s let into the ring and she kneels at the apron, offers her hair! Kong takes off a long lock. Brandi caresses her.  Seems they’ve accepted her? Commercial break, in the inset Kong just keeps on taking hair. Stagehand comes out to stop this. They’re just straight-up shaving the woman’s hair off. AEW has a lot of cults.

SCU theme hits now, Christopher Daniels out for his bout with Pentagon Jr.!

    Christopher Daniels vs. Pentagon Jr.

Before the bell, Daniels with a crossbody off the top taking Pentagon onto the elevated ramp! Gets a shot in, clothesline laying him out! Chant of “Fallen Angel”. Daniels wants a piledriver onto the ramp, just like the one that injured him! Penta back body drops him to counter! Pentagon rips away the gloves, super kick to the back of the head! Clothesline takes Daniels into the ring. Bell finally ring! Sweeping kick to the arm. Throws him to the corner, charges but Daniels gets a boot up, Hits the ropes, meaty spear, mount punches! Back suplex! Takes Penta up top, pursues, Pentagon slips under his legs, thrust kick hangs him up on the second rope! Pentagon with a diving foot stomp to the chest! Commercial, but in the inset, Penta gets Daniels against the ropes, big chop to the chest.

Daniels dodges a kick, gets a superkick in, but Penta cuts off his comeback. We come back in time to see Penta hit some scything leg kicks. Whips him to the corner, charges for the running enziguri! Springs from the second rope but Daniels counters with a Flatliner! Chant of “SCU”. Daniels evades Penta in the corner, gets him with some double axe handles, boot to the face off a back body drop, exploder suplex! Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall! Daniels with some back elbows, but Penta ducks a clothesline, slingblade, cover for 2. Comes off with the top with a double foot stomp, Daniels rolls out of the way, Penta floats over in the corner for a Backstabber! Nearfall. Superkick ducked, Daniels with a falling lariat to the back of the head! Daniels to the apron, wants to suplex Pentagon onto the ramp! Pentagon escapes, kicks him away, Penta off the top, WANTS A DESTROYER ONTO THE RAMP but Daniels knocks him away, gets taken into the ring.

Pentagon gets some distance, charges but Daniels with a headkick. Daniels wants an Arabian Moonsault, but he just totally slips off and falls to the ramp! They roll into the ring, Pentagon wants the Package Piledriver but Daniels escapes, Angel’s Wings! But Fenix comes out to distract the ref! Daniels knocks him off the apron, Penta tries for the micstand shot but Daniels ducks it! Flatliner! Daniels grabs up the micstand… decides against it and throws it away, ref is distracted by it, Pentagon with a low blow, Package Piledriver gets the win.

    Winner: Pentagon Jr.

Daniels actually did look a little rusty for once, that Arabian Moonsault was rough, Excalibur did his damnedest to cover for it though.

Vignette of the BBB where the Bunny talks about how sick they are of seeing Cody’s face. They’re in your house to cause pain and destruction and they’re here to cut the head off the snake.

    Main event time!

    Joey Janela vs. Jon Moxley

Lock-up, waistlock from Moxley, gets the takedown. Turns it into a cover for 1. Moxley steps up on his back, quite disrespectfully. Lock-up, Janela with a side headlock but Moxley reverses, side headlock takeover, grinding him down now. Shoots him off, Moxley with a shoulder block! Janela leaps over him from the corner, ducks a shot, charging back elbow! Does a little leg shaking dance. Chop to the chest. Mox responds, heavy one! They trade but Moxley’s are definitely louder. Mox with a headbutt. Charging clothesline in the corner, Janela exploding off of it! Throws him to the ropes but Janela hangs on, gets a boot up, takes him to the ramp. Up top, diving Double Axe Handle takes him down! Whip reverses, Janela springs off, big lariat flips him inside out! Commercial, match continues in the inset as always.

Moxley takes him into the ring, grinds him down with a double wristlock, kicks him to the mat. Hooks the legs, stomps the gut. Rolls him over into a modified STF. Janela kicks his legs away, escapes. Back Body Drop takes Moxley to the floor! Diving shot off the apron. Moxley rams him into the apron, gets a chop in. Janela reverses a whip into the barricade! We come back to see Janela slam him into the ramp. Moxley rolls into the ring as Janela climbs up the ropes. Mox backs away and Janela has to go down. Comes in, eats a boot, X-Plex from Moxley! Takes a bow. Cover for 2. Covers again a couple of times for no fall. Moxley takes Janela to the ramp, makes the throat slit gesture, Mox wants the Paradigm Shift but Janela escapes to the ring! Charges, springs from the second rope into a huge Tornado DDT onto the ramp! Mox rolls into the ring, then back out but Janela rushes like a wild man, Suicide Dive! Takes him into the ring. Goes up top but Mox cuts him off! Pursues, wants a superplex but Janela gets the advantage, Sunset Flip Powerbomb for a very close nearfall!

Exchange of forearms, Mox hits the ropes, eats one, springs off, but Janela ducks a shot and gets a discus elbow, thrust kick to the gut only for Mox to respond with a big lariat! Hooks him for a suplex, but Janela whips behind him, roll up takes him headfirst into the bottom buckle! Moxley rolls out and leans against the timekeeper’s table but Janela leaps from the top rope to put him right through it!!! Big chant of “Holy Shit”, Janela takes him into the ring, comes off the top with a big elbow drop for a verrrry close nearfall! Janela up top once more, Moxley stops him, they exchange shots up there. Moxley with a Paradigm Shift taking him onto the top buckle! And then into the ring for another one, absolutely brutal, gets the pin!

    Winner: Jon Moxley

That was a damn good match by the end. Moxley continues to be extraordinarily strong.

As he celebrates, Jericho’s music hits! Moxley stares out into the crowd… Jericho and the Inner Circle make their way down the stands! He pulls off the sunglasses. In quite the bit of mimicry, Jericho strolls down the steps and holds up his title as we fade out.

I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.
