Hey there wrestling fans, and welcome to week 4 of the vaunted Wednesday Night Wars! Here’s a real quick preview of tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite!
We have the AEW World Tag Team Tournament Semi-Finals awaiting us; the very popular SCU vs. the less-than-adored Dark Order, and the Lucha Bros. vs Private Party!
AEW’s tag division is always a highlight and tonight should be no different, with the latter match in particular looking like a show stealer in the making. Can the still battered SCU overcome the advantage that the Dark Order have gained in their bye to the semi finals? Can Private Party repeat their stellar upset of the Young Bucks from two weeks ago and shock the world against another big time tournament favorite? Just one week away from the finals, things will certainly be heating up!
In addition, we will see Britt Baker in action against Stardom and RevPro’s Jamie Hayter. Britt’s returning to her hometown of Pittsburgh and will be looking to get a decisive win for her homecoming.
We’ll also hear from Cody, who is teasing an announcement for his career and his future.
Cody is weeks away from a shot at the AEW World Championship at Full Gear, and it was recently declared that his wife Brandi will no longer be accompanying him at ringside. What else is left to declare…? We’ll find out.
Plus, due to the warm reception their Unsanctioned match on AEW Dark received two weeks ago, Joey Janela will be making his TNT debut against none other than Kenny Omega! It would appear this one is just a straight wrestling match, so it’ll be very interesting to see how it goes! Janela did show on the last episode of Dark that he’s got more than wild weapon shots and brutal bumps in his repertoire, but how will he fare against the Best Bout Machine?
And our main event: PAC vs. Jon Moxley!
It’s a huge match here, two men who have yet to be pinned in singles competition! Both have a win over Kenny Omega to their credit as well. But last week, Moxley was fed up with PAC’s interfering in his business and turned on him to cost him their tag match against Omega and Hangman Page! PAC was none too pleased with that, and in fact found himself covered in blood by the time he got backstage!
This should be a high level, bitter match between two major stars! And two salty individuals at that… PAC’s sheer athletic mastery and underhanded tactics square up with Mox’s unyielding intensity and aggressive brawling tendencies!
They’re both considered by many to be major favorites to enter the AEW World Title picture sooner rather than later, so the result of this match could have big time consequences!
