Ladies and gentlemen, it is Wednesday night, always the best night of the week if you ask me, purely because it means another edition of the modern day wrestling wars! AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT are once again set to grace us with their presence, and I could not be more excited! After all, tonight… I’m going to be there at AEW Dynamite live! Yes, they’ll be emanating from Southaven, Mississippi, which is like a half hour drive from my house, I would’ve been crazy to pass that up! It’s a special show too, billed as the AEW Anniversary, as it’s a year out from the inaugural Double Or Nothing rally, which was technically the first AEW-sponsored event of any kind!
My watching from the stands means that I’m unable to do the usual recap but I’ll still be giving you the previews as usual, and the results later tonight!
The Brotherhood (Cody & Dustin Rhodes) vs. The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix)
We like our brother tag team feuds around here! Of course I just love tag team wrestling in general. Cody Rhodes and the elder Dustin Rhodes don’t team up too often but it’s always a fun sight to see when it happens. Lemme tell ya, it’s gonna be all too fascinating to watch this one live! I’ve said before that the Lucha Bros are probably my favorite tag team going right now as well! Together these two tandems should make for a truly excellent bout.
But as much as it’s a delight to see Cody and Dustin team together, they aren’t a standard tag team by any stretch whilst the Lucha Bros are pillars of the division. So it’s fairly clear where this one should go. Lucha Bros over. With Cody’s issues with MJF and Wardlow, as well as Dustin’s mounting problem with Jake Hager, let’s just say it’s gonna be very easy giving them an excuse to lose.
