AEW Dynamite is just about over, we’ve just got the main event left now! But first, we hear that Hikaru Shida/Nyla Rose at Double Or Nothing will now be a No DQ match. Plus, Mike Tyson will be presenting the TNT Championship to the winner at the PPV itself. Two new matches for DON will see Kris Statlander vs. Britt Baker, plus Private Party vs. Best Friends in a tag team No. 1 Contender’s match. We also get a card rundown for next week, Rey Fenix vs. Orange Cassidy, Marko Stunt vs. MJF, Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara. Jon Moxley vs. 10. Christopher Daniels is out here now for our last match, against Brodie Lee. Brodie enters, title around his wait and he even forces Dasha Gonzalez to introduce him as the champion!
Christopher Daniels vs. Brodie Lee
Daniels is trepidatious. Daniels trying to use his speed to avoid Brodie’s power, crossbody gets caught into a powerslam! Brodie tosses Daniels from the ring. Pursues him to the outside, knife edge chop to the chest, big uppercut to the chin. Throws him into the ring, Brodie gets in the face of Scorpio Sky at ringside. This allows Daniels to surprise him with a Tope Suicida taking Brodie right into the barricade! Slingshot Moonsault! Throws him into the ring and covers… for a 1 count! Brodie fights back and nails him with a massive lariato! Now he’s clobbering him across the ring, grinds the boot into his throat in the corner.
Brodie gets in the ref’s face. Whips Daniels to the ropes and nails him with an elbow, then again gets into the faces of the rest of SCU. Just stares. Slides back into the ring, steps on the head of Daniels. Pulls him to his feet, whip to the corner, Daniels rebounds out – Lee with the Black Hole Slam for a nearfall! Commercial break. As we come back, Brodie nails a hilo and then a big boot for a nearfall! Lee whips Daniels to the ropes and wants a back body drop but out of the air Daniels counters with a Spike DDT! Daniels trying to take it to him, enziguri, second rope flying headscissors, running elbow strike in the corner! Brodie staggers to his knees… 10 rushes to the apron but SCU jump the barrier to deal with him!
As the ref is distracted, Brodie takes up a chair but Daniels grabs it and nails him with it! Hooks Lee in a Guillotine, the Dark Order’s creepers emerge into the ring, SCU and others in to fend them off… Daniels had to let go of the hold but ultimately they all leave before touching the competitors. Daniels gets Brodie in an Angel’s Wings – KICKOUT AT 1! Daniels hits the BME and gets a nearfall! Brodie charges, Daniels gets a boot up, goes up top! Flies at him but Brodie powerbombs him out of the air! Discus Lariat puts him down and that’s that.
Winner: Brodie Lee
Brodie looking like a beast in there and that’s the main goal. Afterwards he once again forces Dasha to call him the Self-Proclaimed AEW World Champion, Mr. Brodie Lee. The Creepers present him with the title. But now out comes Jon Moxley, walking down the stands! Followers rush in and Mox dispatches of them on his way down, into the ring and he dumps one to the floor! Brodie Lee tosses one of the followers into the ring and leaves with 10, Moxley drops the creeper with a Paradigm Shift and stomps him until he bails from the ring.
Mox demands a microphone. He says he can admire guts and seizing an opportunity but he will not suffer disrespect. He will not suffer fools. Says Brodie Lee made a mistake and he will pay for it, oh boy will he pay for it. Says the AEW title is much more than a piece of metal and he will find that out firsthand. At Double Or Nothing there will be a hailstorm of violence and Mr. Lee may find out that his AEW career is over before it started. He drops the mic and then sends the follow flying over the barricade!
