AEW Dynamite continues. MJF interrupts an attempted interview with the Gunn Club. Max says he’s been undefeated for months, he’s got the Dynamite Diamond Ring and yet Jumping Jack Perry gets a shot before him? He says that there’s a reason why no matter how much better the people in this roster get, no matter how good at talking they get to be, no matter how popular they get on social media, they will always hit a ceiling and MJF is that ceiling. He calls himself a Great White swimming in a sea. Billy Gunn cuts him off and calls him a minnow, refers to himself as one of those Great Whites. MJF says he’s surprised he’s not trying to get another one of his scumbag talentless sons a contact. Billy grabs him by the collar but he calls Wardlow over to force him to back off. We then see footage of the Dark Order offering Colt Cabana a spot in their group last week. Colt squares off against Sammy Guevara in singles action tonight. Seems Sammy’s Hit-Me-Up Mobile is a permanent part of his entrance now. Cabana tips it over as he comes out and Sammy has to go out and check on it.
Colt Cabana vs. Sammy Guevara
Sammy gets in Colt’s face at the start, Cabana with a middle finger, Guevara shoots two back! Leapfrogs and duck unders, Colt greets Sammy with a double bird of his own. Knife edge chop! Sammy with a whip but Colt kicks off the buckle, double handed chop! Ducks a few shots, Spinning Headscissor, big arm drag! Got control of the arm now. Wrenching on the hand. Sammy grabs the ropes for the break, then trips him to the outside. Step-up flip dive and he nails Colt with this one! Commercial break as he slinks back into the ring and poses. In the inset, Colt rolls back into the ring and Sammy has him in a chinlock for a bit. He fights up, but Sammy blocks a kick and gets him with a hook kick for a 2 count! Headlock wrenched in again.
As we come back, Colt fights out, knee to the gut. Hits the ropes, Sammy hoists him onto his shoulders and there’s the squat! But Colt with a crucifix for 1, Bionic Elbow nails Guevara flush! Colt charges, Sammy with the boots up, kick sends him away! Sammy to the second rope, Cabana crawls backward. Sammy rushes over but gets a double kick to the gut, couple of jabs, Flip, Flop and Fly! Flying Apple nailed, snapmare, Colt up to the second rope now for a Second Attempt Splash! Sammy reverses a whip, shoulder thrust into an enziguri, springboards up but Cabana tosses him, beautiful Moonsault for a nearfall! Cabana wants to set him up for a Chicago Skyline but he slips, Guevara escapes behind him, and there’s the Burning Hammer GTS! That’s that.

Afterwards, the Dark Order appears and they offer Colt a mask. After they leave… he actually follows them. And then Sammy Guevara takes up a mic to talk about how he’s the greatest wrestler they have, only for Matt Hardy to interrupt him. Sammy is furious but Matt says he has no issues with him. Actually when he looks at him he sees someone with a never-say-die mentality, like a young Matt Hardy. No matter how hard Sammy gets hit, he always gets back up. He calls Sammy the future of AEW but to maximize his potential he needs to get away from Chris Jericho! Sammy says he can’t trust him, he tried to kill him twice. Matt has a Matter of Fact saying he craves mofongo as he talks about what a good driver he is and how much he loves to see Sammy squirm. Sammy cuts him off and Matt transforms into Broken Matt, telling him he’ll mash him into mofongo and eat him! Yells delete over and over as Guevara rushes away from the ring.
