AEW champions have had their belts for a long time. Kenny Omega and Young Bucks are some of the longest champions within AEW. It’s mostly due to the company only being 2 years old. But all champions within AEW have had a decent run before losing it. Young Bucks don’t currently have a feud in place for the champions.
They have been used as a backup for Kenny Omega in his feud with Hangman Paige. It looks like this was leading to a feud between Dark Order and the Young Bucks, but it seems like a lot of plans are changing in AEW and looking at who is racing through the ranks of the AEW Tag Division, it feels like Lucha Bros may be the next in line.
Lucha Bros may not be in the Top 5 yet
The current tag teams ranking has both Proud & Powerful and FTR at the bottom of the ranking, making it not look like they will go for belts yet. The other three are Private Party, The Acclaimed and Varsity Blonds. So all the current top three have already had a shot and lost or just haven’t interacted with the champions yet.
However, the Lucha Bros have been winning quite a few matches on Dark, and it looks like they could be rising through the rankings before All Out in September. So we could see a rematch between the Young Bucks and Lucha Bros.
Lucha Bros deal with Andrade
Pac and the Lucha Bros, the Member of Death triangle, currently seem to be setting something up with Andrade. With Pac looking like he might lose the Lucha Bros to Andrade. With Andrade saying they would be better off with him rather than Pac.
The big draw for Lucha Bros turning on Pac maybe that Andrade helps them get a championship shot at the upcoming PPV. This then leads to Pac Vs. Andrade at All Out and Young Bucks Vs. Lucha Bros at the PPV.
