Since making his AEW debut, Danhausen has yet to get into the ring. This has been due to AEW signing him while injured, knowing he would be able to get over with fans before he even hits the ring for the first time. The injury came around October 2021, at a Next Generation Wrestling event in Tennessee. Now, Danhausen is anxious to hit the ring – and has informed fans that recovery is going well.
Danhausen’s Human Leg Is Recovering Nicely
While speaking on AEW Unrestricted, Danhausen provided an update on his leg injury. He’d have the following to say.
”Recovery is going good. We have wonderful doctors at AEW that help Danhausen every single week. His name is Josh, nice, he has a mustache. Hopefully, one day, when Danhausen recovers he can have a mustache of his own. Danhausen needs a metal rod in his leg, he broken his tibia and fibula.
This fellow crashed down on Danhausen’s leg, it snapped in two, he heard a ‘pop, pop,’ and he went, ‘Oh good, this is wonderful,’ and he rolled to the side of the ring, and I believe this is the only time Danhausen has sworn publicly.
He went to the hospital, that was nice, had surgery a week later and now every single week we’re trying to recover it, I think we’re getting pretty close. Fingers crossed,”
Fans Might Be Surprised At The In-Ring Skills Of Danhausen
While Danhausen is no Bryan Danielson, fans will be pleasantly surprised when he makes his in-ring debut for AEW. His style has been proven to work with just about anyone, and while it relies heavily on comedy antics – fans can expect to see him hit some crisp German Suplexes along the way.
Some of his best matches in recent memory came against Brian Johnson in Ring of Honor, which showed a nice balance of comedy and skill, and had Danhausen playing to an empty arena. Add in a hot AEW crowd, and things are going to be incredible when he finally hits the ring.
