There are few tag teams who have been able to become as popular as The Good Brothers in recent years. They’ve claimed tag team gold in NJPW, WWE, and Impact Wrestling – and are consistently treated as a top act. However, right now – they might be saying goodbye to Impact Wrestling, just days after losing the Impact Wrestling tag team championships.
The Good Brothers Finish Up With Impact Wrestling?
During Impact Wrestling “Lone Star Stampede” The Good Brothers would lose the tag titles to The OGK, giving Honor No More even more control in Impact Wrestling. However, if reports are to be believed – this title change is due to the deals for Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows coming to an end.
This will come as no surprise, with both men being vocal about this deal coming to an end. There was a hope they would resign, but It seems an agreement could not be made. Some fans will be sad to hear this, while others will be glad to be rid of them. With Gallows & Anderson on their way out, BULLET CLUB representation in Impact Wrestling will fall to Chris Bey & Ace Austin.
Their Hearts Live In Japan
New Japan Pro Wrestling is the most likely destination to see Good Brothers call their home once they leave Impact Wrestling. As members of the BULLET CLUB faction, they’ve been showing up in Japan recently – with Karl Anderson even winning the NEVER Openweight Championship from Tama Tonga, and having Hiroshi Tanahashi as his next challenger.
With World Tag League fast approaching, it’s expected we will see The Good Brothers really focus on their work in Japan for the rest of 2023, with another tournament win very possible. They remain one of the most iconic active tag teams in the promotions history, with a staggering 601 days as IWGP Tag Team Champions. Anderson in particular has a notable resume in NJPW, having another big reign as tag champions with Giant Benard, and being a finalist in the G1 Climax in 2012.
