Killer Kross is back, following his time in WWE as Karrion Kross. Having become a two time NXT Champion, the run was hardly a waste – but Kross is better when he’s got freedom – and that is what he has now. However, while most promotions would be glad to have someone like Kross on their roster – Impact Wrestling won’t be seeing him back.
Kross & Bordeaux Will Never Return To Impact Wrestling
Prior to signing with WWE, Impact Wrestling was the home of both Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux. However, due to a messy exit, the relationship is fractured. Kross had requested his release, while Impact Wrestling wanted him to honour the rest of his contract. Add in that Slammiversary 2019 – he refused to blade during a First Blood match with Eddie Edwards, and things weren’t great when he left the promotion.
Now during a digital signing for Captains Corner, fans would be told to not expect them to return – with Bordeaux saying the following. ““We’re never going back to Impact. Never.”
Right now, Kross is working for MLW, CYN, and is set to make his New Japan Pro Wrestling debut. Bordeaux has no return date set, but intends to return to the ring.
Killer Kross Has A Date With Minoru Suzuki On April 1st
Speaking of the debut of Kross for NJPW, it will come during the NJPW Strong special titled “Lonestar Shootout”. His opponent is the legendary Minoru Suzuki – which promises to be a very hard hitting match. Kross has a very similar style to that of Suzuki, with a focus on hard strikes and chokeholds.
Other matches set for Lonestar Shootout on April 1st include Tomohiro Ishii vs. Chris Dickinson, Mike Bailey vs. Jay White, and Rocky Romero vs. Ren Narita.
Fans are already expecting to see Kross be recruited into BULLET CLUB or United Empire on this event, provided he sticks around in NJPW for more than a single match in the promotion.
