AEW Dynamite commences with it’s opening match, we’ll see the Lucha Bros (Fenix and Pentagon) take on the Best Friends, Chuck Taylor and Trent.
Best Friends vs. Lucha Bros
Trent and Fenix start and lock-up. Some wrestlers are in the stands yelling and it actually is a noticeable improvement from silence! Trent and Fenix trade forearms. Fenix with a spin kick, combination of strikes, big right hook! Fenix and Pentagon scream at one another. Fenix with a short uppercut, wants a Lucha Arm Drag, Trent stops him but eats a body shot. Fenix hits the ropes but Trent gets him with a double knee! Snapmare, kick to the back of the head! Double whip, shoulder tackle! Chuck Taylor tags in, back suplex for a 2 count! Quick tags from the Best Friends as they work over Fenix.
Irish whip, standing dropkick from Chuck Taylor for 2. Trent tags in, double team axe handle to the arm. Fenix with body shots, stomp to the foot, poke to the eyes, knife edge chops! Kick to the back of the head! Trent reverses a whip but Pentagon blind tags in, superkick! Double thrust kick to the head! Cover for a nearfall! Penta yells at the referee. Kick to the backside from Penta! And another one flips him over! Chokes him in the ropes. Takes him down with an arm stretch. Fenix tags in, Trent eats shots from both, Casadora Double Team Splash! Fenix dropkicks Taylor to the floor.
ORANGE CASSIDY IS STANDING UP AT THE TABLE! Penta pursued Chuck, Trent gets him with a suicide dive, Rey Fenix with a tope! But Taylor nails him with a lariato that flips him onto the floor, my goodness! Commercial break, match continues in the inset. Pentagon throws Trent into the barricade and it goes flyyyyying! Shoves him into the post! Fenix tosses Taylor to the floor. Fenix now controlling Trent with a chinlock. We come back to see Fenix working over Trent with kicks, Penta tags in, roll through for a thrust kick to the jaw! Cover for a nearfall! Trent with an arm drag reversal, rope springing Tornado DDT!
Makes the tag to Chuck Taylor! Series of clotheslines, ones is ducked but he nails a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker! Pentagon comes in though, leg kick, whip to the corner but Chuck stops him with a Rising Knee! Throws him into a Cutter from Trent! They tease the big hug… but instead they give the social distancing elbow bump! That got a pop from me. Lucha Bros get them with stereo superkicks though! Orange Cassidy stands! It distracts them… Best Friends take the Lucha Bros to the outside and hold them in place, Cassidy gets them with the Leap of Faith! Chuck takes Pentagon into the ring, drills him with a Piledriver for a nearfall! Trent wants the Dudebuster but Fenix superkicks him to give Penta a sunset flip nearfall! Fenix and Chuck slug it out in the corner, distracts the ref, Pentagon gets Trent with a low blow! Strong Zero nailed and that is that!

Already that was easily the most fun empty arena match of the week. Cool stuff.
Tony Schiavone interviews the Best Friends on the stage. Chuck calls them out for kicking his friend in the dick when the ref isn’t looking, his own words. Calls them out, says next week they don’t need rules or even a ring, challenge them to a street fight next week! In a real street or even a parking lot.
