WWE Monday Night Raw continues with Nia Jax taking on Kairi Sane in a rematch from last week. We’ll also be hearing from Seth Rollins in a little bit.
Nia Jax vs. Kairi Sane
Kairi ducks a clothesline and tries to goad her into charging. Nia does charge and Kairi slips behind her, Piggyback Sleeper! Nia hip tosses her down though. Giant Swing! That’s a surprise. Chokes her against the middle rope as Asuka is yelling at the monitor watching this. Nia tosses Kairi around by the hair a couple of times. Short-Arm Clotheslines aplenty! Kairi to the apron, tries to slide between Nia’s legs for a sunset flip but she ain’t budging! Jax pulls Kairi up from the mat, Tree Bomb right into the bottom turnbuckle! Brutal landing! Kairi tries to fight back with leg kicks, Nia wants another Tree Bomb but Sane escapes and gets her with a dropkick to the knee! She sends a few forearms her way as Jax is down to a knee. Spinning Backfist and that drops Jax to her back! Sane yells to psyche herself up, Sliding D! Sane going up top now! Wants the Insane Elbow but Jax rolls out of the way, picks her up and plants her with the Samoan Drop! And that’s that.
Winner: Nia Jax
Jax mocks Kairi afterwards and smacks her across the face.
After a replay of Rollins’ stomping McIntyre last week, we see Seth cutting a promo from a giant leather chair somewhere. Seth says he admires McIntyre for making that challenge. Says not many men know what it’s like to hold that WWE Championship but he does. Not many men know what it’s like to beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania but he does. Men like them command respect fom their peers and they have a deep love and passion for this industry. He accepts his challenge at Money In The Bank, not out of respect or out of disdain. He accepts out of necessity, out of duty. Because right now more than ever, the WWE Universe needs a leader.
And as much as the two of them have in common, the similarities stop there. Because Seth is a proven leader and McIntyre is not. Rollins claims that he is the one who will sacrifice for the greater good, make the difficult decisions and be the light in the darkness. At Money In The Bank, he will take Drew’s title. Not because he wants to but because he has to.
