While he is most known for his run in the Attitude Era of WWF, Ken Shamrock was a very important figure in Impact Wrestling. Since their very first show back in 2002, Shamrock was around, where he won the first main event in company history, a battle royale which featured talent like Scott Hall, Rick Steiner, Jeff Jarrett & Steve Corino. He would become NWA Heavyweight Champion, the only world championship he would hold in his career.
He didn’t stick around, as he would only compete sparsely for most of the next two decades, but a common home was in Impact Wrestling, being his most common promotion after leaving WWF. Shamrock would compete in MMA and other ventures, and recently came back to wrestling for another run starting in 2017. He would find himself in Impact Wrestling once again, where he would wrestle at Bound For Glory and defeat OvE member Madman Fulton.
Between his accolades in wrestling and MMA, he is a worthy edition to the Impact Wrestling hall of fame, where he will join the likes of Sting, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, Earl Hebner, Team 3D, Abyss and Gail Kim.
Will Ken Shamrock Enter The WWE Hall Of Fame Someday
While the Impact Hall Of Fame is an honor to enter, the most widely recognized wrestling Hall of Fame is WWE’s. In WWE, he is a former Intercontinental and World Tag Team champion, and was a major player in one of the biggest times in company history. With him not having shown up in WWE for many years, it’s unclear if he is still on good terms with the company, which is often the biggest factor for who gets in and who doesn’t. Anyone with a decent legacy who fans remember is bound to enter at some point.
What Is Next For Ken Shamrock In Impact Wrestling?
With him to be inducted into their Hall of Fame, it’s clear he will be staying in the company for a while longer. He proved to still be a very capable wrestler. Reports indicate he will be feuding with Sami Callihan, who attacked Shamrock as it was announced he would added to the Hall of Fame.
