    New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) are the two leading partners within the IWGP Conception and have had a partnership in place since 2008. The Fantastica Mania tour has taken place in Japan since January 2011 and is traditionally the first tour after Wrestle Kingdom on the NJPW calendar.

    Throughout the tour, former CMLL World Welterweight Champion Ryusuke Taguchi renews his tag team with Fuego, who competes on his fourth Fantastica Mania tour. In the first match of the 2020 tour, they team up against Suzuki-Gun members Douki and Yoshinobu Kanemaru.

    In the second match, former 3x Mexican National Trios Champion Guerrero Maya Jr returns for his second Fantastica Mania tour — first since 2016 — when he teams with Audaz and Yuya Uemura, who are both competing on the tour for the first time. Their opponents are Namajague (normally competes as El Desperado, Namajague was his excursion name in CMLL), former Mexican National Trios Champion Luciferno (1st Fantastica Mania tour), and former CMLL World Tag Team Champion and current 3x CMLL World Trio Champion, Euforia (3rd Fantastica Mania tour).

    The 3rd match sees Flyer (2nd Fantastica Mania tour) and current Mexican National Welterweight Champion Soberano Jr (4th Fantastica Mania tour) compete against Flyer (1st Fantastica Mania tour) and living wrestling legend former 2x WWA World Welterweight Champion, UWA World Lightweight Champion, UWA World Middleweight Champion, Mexican National Trios Champion, NWA World Historic Welterweight Champion, NWA World Welterweight Champion, 6x CMLL World Tag Team Champion, CMLL World Trios Champion, 2x CMLL World Middleweight Champion, CMLL World Welterweight Champion, Negro Casas. Despite this being his first Fantastica Mania appearance, Casas has wrestled approximately 190 matches for NJPW over his illustrious 40-year plus career. His partner is Tiger, who is participating in his first Fantastica Mania tour as well.

    The fourth match sees former Mexican National Trios Champion, 2x Mexican National Welterweight Champion, and current CMLL World Welterweight Champion Titan (6th Fantastica Mania tour), team with former CMLL World Trios Champion and current CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion Niebla Roja (3rd Fantastica Mania tour), and Angel de Oro (4th Fantastica Mania tour) against Nueva Generacion Dinamitas (New Generation Dynamites) [Forastero, Cuatrero, and Sanson].

    Together the trios team are current Occidente Trios Champions and Mexican National Trios Champions, along with Cuatrero/Sanson being former CMLL Arena Coliseo Tag Team Champions. Individually, Cuatrero is the current CMLL World Middleweight Champion. This is Cuatrero and Sanson’s 2nd Fantastica Mania tour and the 1st for Forastero.

    The fifth match sees Dulce Gardenia make his Fantastica Mania debut when he teams up with NJPW Tokyo Dojo Young Lion Yota Tsuji, and former CMLL World Tag Team Champion and CMLL World Trios Champion, Hiroshi Tanahashi. They face Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) team of Bushi, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi, and current ‘Double Champion’ (IWGP Intercontinental and IWGP Heavyweight Champion) Tetsuya Naito.

    In the marquee match former 2x Mexican National Trios Champion and current NWA World Historic Light Heavyweight Champion Stuka Jr (4th Fantastica Mania tour) teams with former CMLL World Welterweight Champion, Mexican National Light Heavyweight Champion, 2x NWA World Middleweight Champion, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion (as Mistico), and current 5x CMLL World Tag Team and NWA World Historic Champion, Caristico. Their partner is the decorated NJPW regular Satoshi Kojima.

    Their opponents are Okumura, who is celebrating his 25th wrestling anniversary with this contest. Okumura is the only CMLL talent who has taken part in all 10 Fantastica Mania tours. He began his career in Japan at the Tokyo Pro Wrestling Dojo in December 1994. He would debut with CMLL and has been with the company ever since. He is a former CMLL World Trios Champion, having won the belt with Tanahashi and Taichi in 2010.

    His partners are former Mexican National Welterweight Champion and current Mexican National Light Heavyweight Champion Barbaro Cavenario (6th Fantastica Mania tour) and former WWA World Tag Team Champion 6x CMLL World Tag Team Champion, and NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion. Guerrero is also currently 2x CMLL World Heavyweight Champion and 5x CMLL World Trios Champion. He also claimed the masks of Mr. Aguilia (September 1998) and Villano V (March 2009).
