AEW Dynamite is under way and is already off to a pretty explosive start after that first segment! SCU go up against the Best Friends now! Trent and Chuckie T come out to a pretty dang good pop, as Huntsville seems like a really good crowd thus far.
SCU (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) vs. The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent)
Freshly Squeezed chant as we start off with Frankie and Trent. Lock-up, into the ropes. Clean break from Frankie. Hip toss, Trent with a headscissor, Frankie kips up, Side Headlock takeover. Trent fights up, back suplex but he flips to his feet, chops to the chest exchanged! Mean shots, woo chants but Frankie breaks it with a big punch! Hits the ropes, Trent with a running knee lift! Tag to Chuckie, double team back elbow. Frankie escapes to tag in Scorpio Sky. Wristlock into a shoulder block, Chuck with a hammerlock into a top wristlock.
Scorpio whips him but eats a shoulder block. Chuckie flexes, until Scorpio kips up and brushes off his shoulder. Chuck with a back elbow out of the corner, goes to the second rope for a moonsault but Scorpio evades it, Standing Dropkick! Tag to Kazarian, double team clothesline for a 2 count. Kazarian gets his Springing Legdrop to the back of the head of Trent, Chuck gets him with a Sliced Bread but Scorpio stops him with a kick, Springing Cutter! Goes out to ringside, whips Trent into the barrier but he bounces back into a spear! Kazarian out there with a German to Trent, Chuckie T with a crazy Flying Senton off the steps! Orange Cassidy surveys the damage, then lays on the floor and stretches out to a pop! Commercial break.
In the inset they make their way back into the ring, Chuckie and Frankie fight over a suplex, eventually Chuck gets it and covers for a nearfall. Body slam, tag to Trent who comes in with a springing elbow drop for a 2 count! We come back, Trent wants a Tornado DDT out of the corner, Frankie shoves him away, back elbow, Trent wants a twisting crossbody but lands in a Backstabber from Frankie! Scorpio comes in to take Chuck off the apron, pops Frankie up into an assisted Tornado DDT for a nearfall! This Is Awesome chant, Frankie with a power whip into the corner. Trent goes down clutching his neck, Frankie hesitates. Whips him to the opposite corner after he gets back up, Chuck protects him in the corner, Sky gets taken out, Sole Food/Snap Dragon combo! And there’s the Best Friends hug! They want Strong Zero but Scorpio pulls Chuck to the floor, into the ring for a dropkick to Trent, helping Frankie turn this move into a Yoshitonic for the win!
Winners: SCU
But they can’t celebrate, as the Dark Order underlings swarm the ring! Stu Grayson and the minions throw SCU and Best Friends out of the ring. They pose… but Orange Cassidy pops up behind them to a big pop! Freshly Squeezed chant as he stands toe to toe with them! And Evil Uno is now offering Orange Cassidy a mask. Chant of no! He reaches for the mask but instead puts his hands in his pockets! Stu Grayson with a running knee to the face of Orange Cassidy, Dark Order stomps him to the mat as the crowd jeers! Christopher Daniels rushes the ring for the save now, Dark Order leaves as the crowd chants for the Fallen Angel! Daniels dares them to get back in the ring but they make their leave.
