The second series match of the event saw former two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and Best of the Super Juniors 19 (2012) winner “Funky Weapon” Ryusuke Taguchi take on CHAOS member “Sniper of the Skies” Robbie Eagles in a swing match for both competitors. Eagles needed a victory to keep any hopes of a BOSJ 27 Finals appearance alive.
Hiromu came into the match after a victory over NJPW Noge Dojo Young Lion Yuya Uemura on November 25th, while Eagles dropped the fall to reigning two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and Bullet Club member “Bone Soldier” Taiji Ishimori on the same night.
The headline series match of the event saw reigning two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and Bullet Club member “Bone Soldier” Taiji Ishimori take on former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) member Bushi.
Despite being the massive underdog, and not expected to win a match throughout his BOSJ 27 campaign, Uemura came out with fire. He gave the veteran some issues early on during the match but didn’t have the experience to string together his offense.
