Violent. That is the one word that can accurately describe the traditional brawl between the teams of 2x and the current IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley and former 5x IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada against the Suzuki-Gun tandem of Minoru Suzuki and Taichi.
From before the opening bell until and well past the fall saw the teams rip into each other before their single matches against one another later during the tour. Taichi and Okada face one another in the marquee match on night-two of The New Beginning in Sapporo while Suzuki makes the V1 challenge against Moxley at the New Beginning in Osaka on February 9th.

Taichi continued his evolution, living up to his adopted “Dangerous” moniker, borrowed from his senpai Toshiaki Kawada. At 39 years of age, Taichi has never felt more like a threat to those at the top of the card. Taichi being able to bully Okada during the match sets the tone for tomorrow night and makes him defeating Okada not feel like a far off fantasy. His streak of violence wasn’t something fans of New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) are accustomed to seeing.

Suzuki and Taichi were able to defeat Moxley and Okada after the former suffered a Gotch Style Piledriver from Suzuki. However, Taichi wasn’t done proving a point to Okada.

Okada was briefly able to overcome a vicious attack from Taichi until RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr (ZSJ). came to the ring to aid his Dangerous Tekkers tag team partner. Will Ospreay quickly followed to aid Okada but was quickly dispatched with the Zack Driver technique.
Taichi would not relent, leading to him dropping Okada with the Black Mephisto on the runway. The post-match destruction of Ospreay and Okada adds drama to the headline Ospreay and ZSJ RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship match, and the marquee special singles match between Taichi and Okada tomorrow night.
