WWE News: Dakota Kai & Tegan Nox Meet In A Street Fight At NXT Takeover Portland

One of the most heated feuds in all of NXT is that of Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai. As everyone is already aware, Dakota Kai turned on longtime friend Tegan Nox at NXT Takeover WarGames, putting her on the shelf. Now the entire women’s locker room wants her head. Nox & Kai clashed this past week on NXT, and Nox was able to win thanks to an assist from Candice LeRae, as well as a smack upside the head with a knee brace. This match only lasted 3 minutes, and very little of that was in the ring.

They will clash again at the upcoming Takeover Portland, as announced on WWE Now. They won’t be wrestling though, it will be a Street Fight.

The First Street Fight In NXT Women’s History

Shockingly, over the history of NXT, we have never seen a Street Fight in their women’s division. We have seen Last Woman Standing Matches, a female War Games, and an Iron Woman Match, but until now: not a street fight. This is a match which warrants the stipulation, and should serve as a showcase to exactly how good these two women can be. Neither has exactly gotten a huge showcase like this. Many assumed it would come at War Games, but you know how that went, and if not you just need to watch Dakota Kai’s entrance movie.

Will Dakota Kai Even Their Record?

After their match on NXT TV,  Tegan Nox has a win over Dakota Kai. Kai will be looking to even that up by any cost, but it is truly a match where anything could happen. For the first time in a while, I feel a Street Fight could actually pour out into the street. Could we see these two throwing each other into parked cars and street lights. I don’t think any arena could contain them. The referee will be there to count the pinfall or witness the submission, and probably ensure no one gets too seriously hurt. It will rival the iconic Gargano & Ciampa street fight, and possibly even surpass it.

Who do you think will be the winner at NXT Takeover Portland? Will Tegan Nox get her final revenge or will Dakota Kai prove she is not a weak link in the division? Let us know in the comment section down below.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
