– In some WWE news, Sasha Banks has made one of her sporadic social media posts again. For the uninitiated, Sasha has been out of action in WWE since WrestleMania, a storied leave of absence that has long been rumored to stem for her displeasure for losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles so quickly. It’s said that her concern was that they would cut the legs out from the championships, devaluing them before they ever got the chance to become prestigious. Looking at how the IIconics’ run has gone so far, uh, yes, that happened.
Since then, Sasha has become notoriously cryptic on social media. She’s no longer engaging in the same manner as other WWE superstars. She’s notably tagged other promotions in tweets and generally made it very clear that she’s enthusiastic about other companies’ products. It seems pretty clear that she wants out, whether she’s been public with it or not. Four months later she has still not appeared again despite constant rumblings and rumors. Whether or not she’ll ever be allowed that liberty with WWE’s current, AEW spurred climate forbidding any wrestler to leave is anyone’s guess.
While she doesn’t like to acknowledge itself much, she remains supportive of her co-workers. She recently tweeted a picture of herself in the new shirt of SmackDown Live’s Ali, making a pose reminiscent of his entrance with the caption ‘Chase the light’. You can see this tweet and Ali’s response below:

Speaking of WWE stars that are outspoken on social media…
– Matt Riddle has once again made it clear that he holds a grudge against Goldberg. He has in the past lambasted him for being an unsafe worker in his eyes. This was particularly prevalent after his bout with the Undertaker went south at Super Show-Down. Riddle has repeatedly chided him and now, it seems clear he wants a match with him.
Goldberg is rumored to be about to square off with Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam. This was seemingly confirmed when an official from WWE called Dave Meltzer and asked how he ‘knew’ this was the case. He clarified that it was merely being speculated upon by Bryan Alvarez. But hilariously their own wording made it clear that this was indeed the plan.
Not exactly one for subtlety, Riddle went ahead and ‘confirmed’ the match in his own way. He shared a fan-made graphic depicting Ziggler against Goldberg at SummerSlam on his Instagram page. He also added the caption, ‘Make it a triple threat, bro! It’s what the people want!’
Given Riddle’s outspoken grudge and MMA background, I can’t imagine he’d go easy on Goldberg should the two actually meet in the ring.

– Finally, a brief rumor killer. It’s recently been circulating that the nWo are set to be the headliners of the WWE Hall of Fame’s 2020 Class. This came about after being brought up by Mike Johnson of PWInsider. His reasoning was Mania taking place in Hogan’s hometown of Tampa, Florida. However, he has since clarified that this was merely speculation on his part and that nothing has been confirmed.
