And now, for the other side of the coin… the one that I’ll be recapping live later on tonight! All Elite Wrestling will be spending the next couple of weeks in Texas, and for this first one they’ve got a fair bit of unique stuff planned! They did announce a few things a little later than usual, but still in time for me to preview them so that’s always appreciated! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to look at the other half of the Wednesday Night Wars! Let’s get into it!
Luchasaurus vs. Sammy Guevara
They’ve actually went ahead and announced in advance that Chris Jericho will be on commentary for this match. It’s of course a means of building to the Jericho/Jungleboy match, as their allies are squaring off here tonight.
Everything about this seems like it’ll be a ton of fun to me. These two characters interacting should be wonderful, Jericho putting over the Spanish God and how sexy he is live, not to mention it should be the first full length Luchasaurus experience we get. Thus far they’ve only used him sparingly, coming in to hit a buncha cool moves at the tail end (hah) of tag matches most of the time. Against Sammy Guevara though, I would not expect a two minute squash here, much as there’s a lot of potential for the guy to be a true chickensh*t in this one.
If you look at the Inner Circle as akin to say, Evolution, then Sammy Guevara is very much the circa 2003 Randy Orton of the group. He can take losses, but won’t be made to look weak in the process, as he’s very, very likely to be at a much higher spot on the card this time next year. But as for now, the reptilian owner of the masters degree will surely teach the cheeky vlogger a thing or two. Luchasaurus to win this one.
