Ladies and gentlemen, tonight is Monday night! The last Monday before Christmas! I’m sure for some people this is like the exact opposite of a holiday… for me, it’s uh, any other Monday really. Which means it’s preview time! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer and tonight… I’m cheatin’~! WWE Raw is tonight and as usual they only see fit to give me a couple of things to work with but that’s fine! I don’t need to wait for them to officially announce things when the whole show’s been taped all along for a whole week!
I’m not looking at every single match we have on deck because, well, Raw has a lot of squashes these days. I’m basically just looking at everything that either has some sort of story relevance, or has atleast a partial chance of going either way. And no, even though I know the card I haven’t actually seen any spoilers, which makes this slightly more interesting!
Bobby Lashley vs. Cedric Alexander
Big time power vs speed match-up here, size differential bout going on here. Very talented competitors to be sure, hopefully they’ll get to show their stuff. Bobby Lashley, of course, is entrenched in his feud with Rusev, much as he and Lana would like to think they’ve put him away for good at TLC. Cedric Alexander is a typical WWE main roster story. Talented young man that came in with a lot of promise and showed out a lot early, raising everyone’s hopes only to dash them after he lost the only Raw feud he’s ever had.
Also he was a janitor one night, unmasking himself only after he… got beat. That’s still a little weird even to this day. So yeah, this hasn’t really been the Age of Alexander to say the least. But hey… ’tis the season for a big babyface upset right? I can’t really be certain enough to predict it, but there sure is room for Rusev to help him to a surprise win. Bobby Lashley over, though.
