Ladies and gentlemen, WWE SmackDown is underway as I type this! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer, here to give you the live results of the show as they come! We are about fifty minutes into the show as I type this, and since I’ve been giving the live recap in addition to these results pages, that’s meant I haven’t had the time until now to make this post! But a brief window opened up and I’m taking it!
At the start of the show, Daniel Bryan emerged, making clear his intent to go after Bray Wyatt, only for the Miz to come out and plead his case for going after the Universal title instead. But that’s when King Corbin came out to berate them both.

Miz emerges instead, says what happened to Bryan was terrible but Bray threatened his family, put puppets in his daughter’s bed. Says Bray has no family, but Miz wants to take the one thing he cherishes most, the Universal Championship. King Corbin out now. Baron mocks Miz for being scared for his daughter and takes a shot at Bryan’s daughter being scared at him looking like baby Yoda. He brings up defeating Kurt Angle in his farewell match at Mania, big heat, beating Roman at TLC, big heat… and we’re shown that briefly, only seeing his hand being raised rather than all the interference. Clip of the ring announcer declaring him winner is played three times. Baron says after beating Roman he’s the rightful No. 1 Contender and Bryan and Miz have not only failed at being WWE Superstars but they’ve failed as fathers!
As is often the case with segments like this, this set up a main event for the night. King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler will be facing off with Daniel Bryan and the Miz.
