WWE Monday Night Raw is raging on folks, I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the recap and results from the night as they come! Lana vs. Liv Morgan and an appearance from Edge still awaits us.
But first, 24/7 Champion Mojo Rawley makes his way out to the ring with sudden call-up Riddick Moss backing him up, introduced as his offensive lineman. Mojo takes up a mic and asks is the 24/7 Champion really gonna defend his title in the ring?! Says this isn’t the hide and go-seek title anymore, he will fight for it like a man. Anybody can challenge for it anytime. But he’s hired an offensive lineman to watch his blindside in Riddick Moss! No Way Jose makes his way out to make the challenge.
24/7 Championship: Mojo Rawley (c) vs. No Way Jose
Low dropkick, charging forearm to the head. Pop-up Slam, and that’s that.
Winner: Mojo Rawley
Afterwards, one of Mojo’s conga liners rushes into the ring to roll up Mojo and take the title. It’s of course R-Truth. But then he turns around to see Riddick Moss staring him down. Mojo whips Truth around and hits a Fireman’s Carry Slam to take the title right back.
Lana vs. Liv Morgan
Lana with a slap. Liv with a kick. Whip to the corner, charging back elbow from Liv, dramatic snapmare, kick to the small of the back. Liv goes up top, but Lana just shoves her to the floor. Throws her into the ring, Liv throws a punch but eats a mean kick to the face! Nearfall. Snap suplex as Byron Saxton says ‘so jelly’. Just, needed to make sure that was documented. Lana calls herself the best women’s wrestler in the world and locks in a chinlock. Chant of “Rusev Day” as Liv fights her way up, hip toss, series of clotheslines. Facebuster. Running Enziguri! Step-up Double Footstomp to the back, dang! Cradle for a 2 count. Forearm, Springing Flatliner for the win!
Winner: Liv Morgan
After seeing her in her first serious match since uhhhh… just, since, I can confirm that Liv Morgan is miles ahead of Lana. Just like pretty much everyone else on the roster. She has definitely demonstrably improved since her NXT days which, is pretty much the only existing frame of meaningful reference for her.
