WWE Friday Night SmackDown rages on here tonight, Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live recap of each segment as it comes! Alexa Bliss is backstage, Nikki Cross giving her some encouragement for the fatal four way match here tonight. And now we get an extensive recap of Corbin eating dogfood from last week. We then see King Corbin walk into the production truck, yelling at them for showing the replay. He grabs a poor shmuck and drags them out of the truck and throws them down a flight of stairs. Agents come by and make him leave. Anyway, here’s Elias, about to face Cesaro.
He’s strumming his guitar in the middle of the ring. Asks everyone who wants to Walk With Elias? Wants to play a song called Third Time’s The Charm and everyone claps along. As he starts talking to San Jose, Cesaro’s music hits to interrupt him again. Sami says he doesn’t need the people’s permission to interrupt him just like he interrupted Sami before. Elias says if you haven’t been paying attention for the past two years, it’s a miracle when he doesn’t get interrupted. Sami says it doesn’t matter when they were dealing with a crisis after Shinsuke Nakamura was ROBBED of his WWE Intercontinental Championship last week! Asks if they found that funny? Says now he is going to pay and he brought it upon himself. Cesaro storms down the ramp for this one.
Elias vs. Cesaro
We come back to see Cesaro nail Elias with an uppercut. Elias reverses a whip, back body drop. Power Backbreaker for a 2 count. Whip to the corner, Elias with a surprising floatover headscissor dropkick spot. Sami Zayn argues with the ref and distracts Elias, Cesaro slams his head into the post, running big boot takes him off the apron and into the barricade. Sami Zayn yells at him as he’s down. Cesaro pulls him into the ring, tight chinlock, back body drop for a 2 count. Deadlift Gutwrench Suplex for a nearfall. Cesaro with a choke, the ref pulls him off, as she’s distracted, Sami with a leaping forearm to Elias, little cheap shot. Cesaro gets him into a chinlock. Elias fights to his feet but eats a Back Suplex.
Cesaro charges, Elias with the boot up, vicious Running High Knee for a nearfall! Elias up top, Cesaro pursues, but he punches him to the mat. Goes higher, but a Running European Uppercut stops him! Big Superplex from the apron for a nearfall! Cesaro wants a Neutralizer, jackknife counter, some quick pin exchanges, Very European Uppercut for a nearfall! Series of big shots, Elias tries to chop his way out of the corner. Cesaro responds with another flurry of uppercuts until he falls to a knee… but he fires back with rights and lefts, pounds him in the corner, clothesline, body slam. He’s going up top once again! Big Flying Elbow Drop for the win!
