WWE Monday Night Raw rolls on, following Natayla’s count out loss to Kairi Sane. As we approach the third hour, Buddy Murphy and the AOP are standing in the ring, with a podium setup with Rollins’ new stained glass shirt design on it. This a week after this group defeated Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and the Viking Raiders in an eight-man tag match last week. There’s a bit of a “Buddy Murphy” chant as Murphy introduces the Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins. Rollins makes his way out and blesses a few people at ringside before making his way into the ring and giving hugs to his allies.
He goes to the podium and thanks everyone for making the term Monday Night Messiah. Says that he wants to talk about the term ‘sermon’, that branding was not his choice, it was given to this segment by the powers-that-be. But the term does seem appropriate because what he has to say right now… is divine. Heat begins to intensify as he has a lengthy pause. Takes up the microphone, says that his brothers and sisters are gathered here tonight to celebrate progress, celebrate moving forward in his vision, in all of our vision.
Phase One of this movement encountered some initial resistance as he thought it might, but they completed Phase One last week. “You Suck” chant, Rollins says please, a little respect. Asks them to show him the respect that he has shown them. Last week, they completed Phase One by defeating Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens and the Viking Raiders. They proved that through devotion and belief, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. “Where’s the bible?” chant as Rollins says now the work begins. He does not take the responsibility of being your Monday Night Messiah lightly, he takes it very seriously.
Rollins says that Phase Two of this movement will not be easy.
“You Suck” chant commences again. Rollins says that he understands their confusion and pain, this next phase will not be easy but it is necessary and it is for the greater good. Because now it is time for them to seek out the weak, to seek out the lesser than and the non-compliant. They must find the flaws in the system and rehabilitate them if they can. And eradicate them, if they must. Says this is not a promise, not a threat, not a warning. This comes from his heart, this is the gospel. If there are any WWE Superstars who remain non-compliant, then they will suffer the same fate as the weak.
Rollins says if you stand in the way of the progress, in the path of the future… the Viking Raiders’ theme hits and they rush the thing! Rollins and Murphy bail as Erik and Ivar brawl with AOP! They take the advantage, Rollins throws Murphy into the ring to fight them but they take him out quick, clean house! As Rollins freaks out on the stage, Kevin Owens sneaks up on him and delivers a Stunner!
