WWE Friday Night SmackDown rolls on, with the tag team gauntlet match continuing. Heavy Machinery thus far have eliminated The New Day and Lucha House Party. Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler and the champs Miz & Morrison still await. But now, they face the Usos.
Heavy Machinery vs. The Usos (Tag Team Gauntlet Match)
Jimmy with a couple of superkicks, eats one of his own, quick cover for the surprise victory! The Usos have been eliminated! Welp! Had to have a flukey finish somewhere in this, right?
Out next are the tag champs themselves, John Morrison & The Miz.
John Morrison & The Miz vs. Heavy Machinery (Tag Team Gauntlet)
Morrison gets Tucker with a Flying Chuck for a nearfall. Heavy Machinery are looking quite beaten down now. Morrison gets Tucker with a Slingshot Elbow for a 2 count! Morrison tries to keep Tucker down with mat wrestling but he retakes the advantage, big clothesline takes him down! Otis stomping on the apron wanting the tag. Miz tags in, runs at Otis but eats a punch! Tucker with a Standing Dropkick, his third of the match, takes Miz out of the ring… but he pulls Otis off the apron to prevent the tag! Back in, escapes a fallaway slam attempt, takes Tucker to the heel corner. They pummel him, Miz Clothesline, Morrison tags in and gets him with a 360 Elbow Drop! Never seen that one before! Otis has to break it up! Miz takes Otis to the outside to pummel him against the barricade… Tucker gets Morrison with an inside cradle for the quick elimination! The Miz and John Morrison have been eliminated!
Afterwards they’re big sore losers, getting Tucker with a Double Footstomp/Skull Crushing Finale combo before sending Otis through the barricade! Mandy Rose is watching backstage. Dolph tells her not to worry about that guy. Now, Roode and Ziggler are the last team out there!
Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler vs. Heavy Machinery (Tag Team Gauntlet)
After a commercial break, the last leg of this match has begun. Otis is still laid out in the barricade as Roode holds Tucker down with a side headlock. TUCKY fights his way to his feet, hits the ropes but Roode blocks him with a headlock. Back Suplex counter takes Roode to the mat! Dolph tags in, Knight tries to get him with kicks, back elbow from Ziggler for the nearfall. Standing dropkick from Ziggler for a nearfall! Tag to Roode, double team on Tucker, neckbreaker from Roode for a nearfall.
Roode tags in, body blow. Hooks the eyes! As Ziggler mocks Tucky… crowd rises, Otis slowly makes his way to his feet! Roode off the apron to attack him, tries to slam his face into the announce table but Otis reverses it! Dolph continues trying to hold Tucker down with a front facelock as Otis makes his way to the apron! Ziggler gets Tucky with a neckbreaker for a nearfall! Tag to Roode, double team, Tuck avoids a corner charge from Ziggler, clothesline to Roode! Crowd is getting loud as Tucky dives, hot tag to Otis! He runs through Roode with shoulder tackles and body blocks, whip to the corner, bounces off for the back body drop!
Forearm to Ziggler takes him off the apron, hooks Roode, who fights out of it, kick to the gut but he jiggles in response! Even a chop is no sold! He does the jumping jacks just to show off his cardio! Fallaway Slam! Charges, Roode gets the boots up, comes off the second rope but Otis catches him, he escapes, dropkick sends him to the corner. Otis evades Roode, Dolph tags himself in, Otis with a body block to Roode takes Dolph to the outside! Caterpillar to Roode started, but Dolph surprises him with a Superkick and that is that!
Winners: Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler
Pretty damn good gauntlet match. Heavy Machinery looked like stars for basically the last hour, Ziggler and Roode with the sneaky win… Otis also never really got his hands on Dolph which is nice.
