WWE Monday Night Raw begins with a video detailing the feud between AJ Styles and the Undertaker. Backstage Undertaker has a promo in the smoke. Calls AJ Styles by his real name, Allen Jones. Says for such a small man he’s got a really big mouth. And he doesn’t know if he has a big set or if he’s just really that stupid. Either way, your mouth is writing some checks your ass can’t cash. But he was right about one thing.
A few years ago, AJ wouldn’t have challenged him. Says you’re damn right he wouldn’t. He was content to be a big fish in a small pond, avoiding facing off with the very best this business has to offer. Names many names, top guys from the Ruthless Aggression Era, says AJ waited until they were all gone, except for him. Says Allen’s stepped into something he really shouldn’t have. His foolish pride has cost him. The first time he mentioned her name, he went too far.
Says the real reason he’s mad is because she stole his move, the Faithbreaker aka the Styles Clash and did it better than him. Claims she got it over. Whatever the reason, you can face him in the Boneyard match, his idea… can bring Gallows and Anderson with him too. Just know that you will feel pain, you will suffer and most importantly you will rest in peace.
Behind him appears a tombstone with AJ Styles’ name on it, reading Rest In Peace, 1977 – 2020.
Well that was destructive. Not like the modern day roster needed any further burying but damn. Legendary babyface Undertaker literally saying that the generation that just passed was the best ever and AJ waited until they were gone so he could thrive, meaning he was only ever WWE Champion because he didn’t have to deal with Batista or Kurt Angle or Edge in their primes. But against the top guys of today he does just fine! Amazing. It wouldn’t be so bad if not for the fact that there’s absolutely no way AJ is winning this match.
We have a six-man tag match to look forward to, the Street Profits and Kevin Owens facing off with Seth Rollins, Andrade and Angel Garza. The Profits are scheduled to defend the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships against Angel and Andrade at WrestleMania, though that’s one of the several matches that’s reportedly in question due to an injury to Andrade. Then, Becky Lynch pulls up in her special custom made big rig.
